I was wondering if anyone knew of a good, budget surround sound system for my PC? My parents want to know what I want for Christmas and I told them but they only have about $200-$300 to spend so they said to try to find a budget surround sound system. Also, if you know of any good sound cards please specify. Thanks! :)

Yes, the 251s rock the house, literally.

Here is newegg.com's selection of speakers. http://www.newegg.com/app/manufactory.asp?catalog=60&DEPA=1 I recommend either Altec Lansing, Creative, or Logitech. All three companies have 5.1 speaker systems and Creative has 7.1 systems as well.

Sound cards are here: http://www.newegg.com/app/manufactory.asp?catalog=57&DEPA=1 I guess Creative is the dominant company here with the Audigy series.

Thanks a lot! :D

I personally got Logitech Z-640s (5.1 speakers and the sub is great... ) at a steal (Only $129 AU) so I'd recommend them.
