Bugatti Veyron Successor: Chiron

Oh they definitely want to prove it but they can't. There isn't enough road to get the car to the top speed. The track Bugatti uses is owned by VAG so they definitely don't want competitors to use it.

Could they not ship one out to America and do what SSC did with the Ultimate Aero? Close off a long straight stretch of road to do a top speed run?

The best angle of the car is dead-on side, because I looooooooooooooove how they incorporated the "bugatti curve" as a definitory element of the design. Front ad rear are a bit uncohesive for me, but the sides makes up for those.

More beautiful shots of the new Chiron:

I didn't like it at first because of the two-tone color but in full black it actually looks quite desirable.

Very nice, well crafted and though shape wise it seems similar to the Veyron, this has had all the fat cut off exterior wise and seemed to be a nice fighter. It's a great looking car in a single color and the back makes sense to me rather than the bloated version it succeeded.

You know, maybe its just me but it seems abit...shorter.

Well here's a side comparison shot:

Autocar
Dimensionally, the Chiron remains close to its predecessor. At 4544mm long, 2038mm wide and 1212mm tall, it is 82mm longer, 40mm wider and 53mm higher than the Veyron. The similarities also extend to the wheelbase, which is just 1mm longer, at 2711mm. The Chiron sits on 285/30 R20 ZR tyres at the front, with 355/25 R21 ZR rubber at the rear.

It mainly comes down to the way the aero is packaged that makes it look smaller and shorter.

I assumed it was a little bit longer and maybe a touch lower. But Its not as long as I expected and it really hides it's extra height well.

It's funny how this hides its size and looks smaller than the Veyron when you consider the Veyron itself did a superb job of hiding how small it also really was.

My god. The only way to describe the startup is to compare it to a ferocious animal's bellowing roar. Absolutely insane.

Looks gorgeous in Black/Black with the Silver accent

Why is there steam coming out from under the rear other than from the exhaust? Is it the radiator heat?

Wow, I mean this is great. The previous iteration didn't sound anything like this. I guess they did a complete redesign of the exhaust.

They could have done a cool quad exhaust with two more triangles (possibly inverted) next to the current ones. I guess they maybe wanted to use the gases to aid the aero on the diffuser.

IIRC they've mentioned having a blown diffuser on the car.
