Behold, the Buick Estate, 5.8 meters and 5400lbs of fake-woodgrain Wagon greatness.
The 1971-1976 Buick Estate Wagon holds the records for being the heaviest Buick ever built as well as being the largest Station Wagon ever built, with the 1975 model measuring 5,880mm (231.8in) in length, 2,029mm (79.9in) in width, 1,483mm (58.4in) in height and weighing a mere 2400kg (5400lbs).
The car shared it's Wheelbase with the C-Body Buick Electra 225, although all 1971-1976 GM Wagons were built on the GM B-Platform.
All Buick Estate Wagons were equipped with the 455 Buick V8 and the TH-400 automatic transmisson.
From 1971-1974 a Stage 1 performance option was available.
Facts:
455ci (7468cc) Buick Big Block V8, 315hp 495lb-ft('71) 250hp 360lb-ft('72) 225hp 360lb-ft('73) 210hp 335lb-ft('74) 205hp 345lb-ft('75-'76)
3-speed TH-400 automatic transmission, rear-wheel-drive
2300-2400kg (5100-5400lb)
I'm not going to search high quality pics of every MY, so I'll only put pics from the '71 and '75 in here.
