I love restaurant burgers in the U.S., and yes, many are huge. But they still fit in your mouth, so no, it is not the norm, not even in the U.S.

Not sure I understand the logic, outside of simply wanting attention. The easier plan is to just by packages of actual bacon, likely for much less. Buy the Whopper on the side.

I mentioned it earlier, but it seems to be a publicity stunt by Rocket News 24.

They could have added 750 strips and he may not have known.
That would have also been one expensive burger.
I wonder if that burger would have been called the heart stopper (or in japanese 心のストッパー)
No, the heart you are referring to is 心臓(shinzou). 心 is heart, as in my heart belongs to you. ;)

I'd probably put an unfunny Fat/America joke here, but NZ is almost as bad as the US. And I'm half-American so I'd be a bit of a hypocrite there

I still want that burger

I couldn't believe the story and help myself laughing out loud when I heard the story that a Japanese guy went to a Burger King to order a ridiculous number of strips of bacon for his daytime meal...

Because Japanese people don't eat so much in the diets in light of what they normally eat and their bodily build(usually smaller than those in the Western), and most of us don't like to have too much greasy things since the flavour of the foods tend to be softer than those in other countries in most occasions...

As a Japanese person I'd like to give applause to his bold courage to try to have a massive volume of junk-food bacons and the staffs in the shop for taking up his offer to try to compare himself with a number of gluttons abroad. :D

That burger reminded me of the Leaning Tower of Pisa

I'm wondering what will be their next purchase in Burger King... maybe an oil tank full of soda? 💡

I wonder if there's a tank to fill up with gallons of soda they can serve to the customers... and why is he intended to do such a thing, it's the height of madness to drink down it completely holding the tank in front of other guests! :D

Burger King’s Japan restaurants recently introduced the option of super-sizing just the bacon portion of their famed Whoppers, according to a post on Gawker. For around 100 yen (which is about $1.25) customers can get an extra 15 strips of bacon on their burger. That’s 500% more bacon.

On a related note, 15 more strips of bacon is about the size of the patty that comes with a whopper; Much more than the dismal 2 strips that come with the BK stacker:drool:

I would gladly spend the $1.25!

1000+ is just a waste though...He deserves to have his money taken:crazy:
