Hi all, and apologies beforehand for asking what probably must seem like noob and possibly silly questions. :)

I have seen those button boxes from Derek Speare and they look pretty awesome. But I'm wondering about their practical use.

1. What can they accomplish that any keyboard doesn't? Fast access to important functions?
2. How do you assign Assetto Corsa (AC) functions to the buttons? Is there software included?
3. Those of you who are already using them in AC, what functions do you assign to them?

Thanks for your patience. :)

I think it is more of a immersion question. Your keyboard keys are all pushbuttons. With those button boxes you are able to use toggle switches (for example if there is only a way to flash you car lights, with toggle switch you can permanently turn the lights on but with keyboard you have to keep pushing the button), rotary encoders and other types of buttons. It is also easier to use labels on buttons boxes if you don't remember what all the buttons do etc.
