I have not purchased a Gran Turismo game since GT4. I prefered Forza 4 over GT5 due to reasons I will not get into here. I am disappointed with Forza 5 since there will be no weather/night racing and the cars look less photo realistic that GT6 along with that annoying lighting. and I enjoyed the GT6 demo so I am probably going to buy GT6.

Still, I don't wanna buy a game that is going to have a PS4 version 1-3 years later. Really, I don't think GT6 would even be worth playing if a better version of it would be coming to PS4. It would be like playing the same game again, only the PS4 version would have more thing added to it.

If GT6 on PS3 has no function that would allow you to transfer your progress to the PS4 version that will come out eventually then I am not buying it on PS3.

He did say probably in this article, but would that be possible if changes were made to the game engine?

If GT6 still has the same mediocre sound quality that GT5 had then a PS4 version better have better sound.

We don't know anything relevant in this regard.

Pretty pointless thread at this time.

Wait till an announcement or GT6 release and then decide if you want to keep waiting. Up to you...

Sony/Kaz/PD won't announce a PS4 version until they have milked PS3 owners for all they can first.
Who'd want a PS3 version after seeing what a PS4 version can do?

Yep, and there are 70 + million potential cows out there.

If you wait for the PS4, you might as well wait for GT7 on the PS5.

Unless PD breaks with their established timeline order, GT7 will be on PS4.
I don't believe you will see GT6 on the PS4.

Why release it again on PS4? Sony have stated there's no real backwards compatibility, only a cloud based emulation, so GT6 on PS4 would either use the same properties (proving Sony to be liars) or be a completely new game (GT7). Translation is notorious for errors between English and Japanese, so it's likely that it wasn't precisely what Kaz meant.

Edit: just read it again for the first time since it was first mentioned, it seems fairly unambiguous. My guess is his mind wandered and he was thinking about wanting to release a PS4 game, then covered his arse by saying a PS4 GT6 was possible.

Gran Turismo 6 on PS4 only makes sense if it was released at the same time as the PS3 version so people could choose. Since that is obviously not happening it makes no sense. If they release essentially the same game on PS4 6-12 months or even more after the PS3 version who is going to buy it? Die hard fans maybe but not anyone in great numbers, if it was the same game as the PS3 version but just better performance/graphics.

If they make huge changes and upgrades to take proper advantage of the PS4 then why call it GT6? It's not the same game anymore, call it GT7.

In short, I really doubt we'll see GT6 on PS4.

Ps4 will have gt7.. it'S going to be completely different game made by new engine ..

ps1: gt1. gt2
ps2 : gt3 . gt4
ps3 : gt5. gt6
ps4 : gt7. gt8

If you'd check the post you just made on the Forza boards, you'd see that your claim of the cars not looking photorealistic has been disproven.

Why do I keep hearing about GT6 on PS4???

1. They already said it will be for PS3.
2. It's being designed entirely to work with the PS3 hardware.
3. PD hasn't released a single GT game that has been available for both the outcoming and incoming generation.
4. It makes no sense re-developing a PS3 game for PS4, at that point they should just focus on GT7 for PS4 .

Seriously, stop waiting for a PS4 version and stop asking for it. Which was the better choice if GT6 on PS3 or GT6 on PS4 is something that can be discussed but I see no point in dicussing things like waiting for GT6 on PS4.

Gt will be on the PS4 and very well could be an 'HD' version of GT6(I really hope not). However this will not happen until well after GT6 has been milked for all it's worth on PS3.

There really is no reason to think that there will be a GT6 for the PS4.

There was a mention of a GT version for the PS4 but that did not seem to be referring to GT6 instead it was indicated that after we had played out GT6 then there could be a version [GT version] for the PS4 which to me says GT7. It was also indicated that it may not be that far down the road so we will have to wait and see. Maybe we'll see GT7 for the PS4 at the end of 2015.

At any rate if you like GT and have a working PS3 then I would say buy GT6 for the PS3. I have already preordered my copy which if you want it at release is the best way to go imo otherwise you could wait a little while and get a used copy to save a few bucks or a long while and get it half price. As for me I would like to have it now so I will get getting it the first chance I have :)

The recent interview where Kaz answered on PS4 made it clear to me that he didn't have plans to bring GT6 to PS4. It makes a lot of sense to me, because it's releasing so late and so many aspects of the game could be drastically improved so easily for a PS4 version... but I don't think PD would ever be content with that. They'd see the opportunities to do so much more and want to make the most of that, which would make it a completely different game and add at least another year to the development of that version - by which point, it might as well be GT7, and that's what it will be.

My one major concern for GT7 is that they will be committed to DLC for GT6 for at least a year. If this content can feature in GT7, sure, but it will still be somewhat constrained by the fact that it has to work on GT6/PS3. I'm hoping they will make a PS4 version of any new assets first and scale down to make the PS3 version. If they don't want another GT5 type delay, they should be doing that already.

I'm convinced they won't be having GT6 as a PS4 release, they are most likely going to put GT7 on PS4 since that would follow the pattern of 2 games per generation.

The only thing that might happen is a GT6 "HD" or something with uprated graphics on the PS4, but otherwise no change in gameplay or content.

If you want GT6 there's no reason why you shouldn't buy it on release since it won't cost you much to do so, because who knows how long it will take for a GT release on PS4, and it might be GT7 at that point as I said.

Why do I keep hearing about GT6 on PS4???

It's kind of like when a wife finds evidence that her husband has been cheating on her but doesn't want it to be true so she keeps rationalizing everything, trying to convince herself that he hasn't been unfaithful. They wanted GT6 to be for PS4, they were upset when it was leaked that it wasn't for PS4, they tried to convince themselves that it was an error and that it really was for PS4, and then were upset when it was certain that it wasn't for PS4. Now their hope is for a re-release for PS4, so that's the twisted fantasy that people keep wanting to live in.

I personally don't like the idea of the same game on different generation platforms. Seems like it'd hinder the PS4 version somehow.

Release GT6 on PS3, support it with patches and DLC for a few months WHILE sprinkling some of the focus to GT7 on the PS4. 8-10 months after GT6's release, shift all of your focus to GT7. Try to have it out by the end of 2016 at the absolute latest.

I pre-ordered the game from GameStop and when I get it I will probably play the arcade mode but I won't start the actual races until I get the PS4. I hate saying it, but I'd rather wait to play the game on the next console seeing that I have very little space on my PS3.

Well, if GT6 will be similar to the quality of the GTA, then I will wait for the PS4 version. If GT6 turns out to be as smooth and sharp as the newly released youtube-video, I will probably buy it directly.

Please, read this:

Sure, it's not 100% confirmed that there won't be a PS4 version of GT6 but it's seriously unlikely for the reasons I, and many others, have already posted. What is 100% confirmed is that it'll launch on PS3 so, why waiting when there's nothing to wait for? You'll only get disappointed. It won't be on the PS4, it will be on the PS3. Stop kidding yourselves.

What? Me and others just want a clean and smooth GT6. Not the graphical trash that the GTA presents. People like me want the experience, which is shown in the latest youtube-video from Sony. Nothing more, nothing fancy, just something that works and is clean. Something the PS3 wont deliver.

If you are happy with the current state of the game, then you will have a lot of fun. But you have to accept, that other people think differently.

And people wont wait forever. There are enough competitors on pc and xbox.

GT6 HD??? You guys do know that GT5 and 6 are already HD right? There will be no GT6 "HD" for the PS4. The PS2 was not capable of HD, the PS3 is and that is likely why they made the "HD" version of GT some years back.

Then you would be waiting for GT7 as GT6 is for the PS3 and the PS4 will not play PS3 games so I would say count on at least 2 years for the PS4 GT version to be released.

I agree, I just want it to run smoother than what they have given us.

Doesn't PS4 support all previous PlayStation Consoles? If so then I should be fine.

Do you have a PS3? Do you cry over a couple of bucks (especially used or new after some months)?

No, I have a PS3 but I rarely play it because the PS3 is only good for single player exclusive titles, I found no multiplayer experience to be fun on it. I prefer the 360 over PS3 since Xbox live is way better and Halo/Gears of War Games have had very fun multiplayer. Still, I prefer PC gaming, consoles are only good for console exclusive titles that are not on master race PC. Sorry for off topic post. Asking if I had a PS3 got me all riled up.

I am pretty sure there will be a GT6 version on PS4. Polyhany is a cash cow who wants lots of money, if they can milk the cow and squeeze some milk cash out of people then it is great. They will eat. It is convienent for them since they won't have to develop the game as much, only build upon a current game.

I bet GT6 on PS4 will be released 1.5-2 years from now. It will be called Gran Turismo 6 HD. It will feature better graphics, every car will be premium, it will include all DLC released on GT6. It would possibly have some new vehicles to but not many, 100 maximum. New track to but not many, probably about 10 new tracks. They won't add much more since it would take a lot of work to make every single car premium.

Then in Q3 or Q4 of 2017 or in Q3 or Q4 2018 Gran Turismo 7 will come out.

It will most likely be GT7. New game new counsel, why would they call it GT6, which was for an out dated counsel?

I do agree with your predictions though, but I think a lot more cars should be added. Unless PD puts in 100, like you said; leaving room for DLC.
