Buying All of GT Sport's Latest Cars Requires (at Least) 25 Hours of Racing

Why bother grinding in GT garbage go back to GT6 much better game and more fulfilling. GT classics forever!:gtpflag:

VBR
Yet another reason to add to the list of why I will never be buying this game.
It was never appaling to me I only bought It' when it went on sale, then I regret it.

I don't regret farming the pit glitch in single player before it was removed - especially considering my garage was wiped before I started doing this. Now I just lack the Jaguar, so I'm just running a MX-5 on a custom endurance race on Blue Moon Bay with a rubber band holding the stick of my DS4 in the right position (race settings : 2 cars, Gr.1, start position last, no boost, professional). I can just let it run all day while I'm working or doing something else. You can easily farm a million a day while not losing your own time grinding (more than 5 millions if you let it run for 24 hours), so you can use your free time to actually have fun in lobbies or sports races.

Nice article, this will surely help many people in need of credits. :P I'll have to start doing this as well to get to level 50 quicker and earn some more credits meanwhile for the 20 mil Ferrari and Jaguar.

This however:

Is unfortunately not true for many people. It seems to be bugged for some reason. I've done over 5000 miles on ovals, never got that trophy and I know I'm not alone. I don't know why not more people are complaining about this though, maybe most people don't really care about the trophies. I think I'll make a thread on this soon with some more info so hopefully PD will notice if they watch this forum.

I think there is only one oval in GTS, Northern Isle Speedway, you have to do all the miles there.

Well.. some games charge real money for DLC. GTS you have to play the game and maybe get lucky on your daily reward.

They allowed people to buy in game currency in GT6.. maybe they should in GTS? but you know what, somehow that will just piss off a different group of people.

I really do not at all have a problem with them doing it any of those ways.. they chose one, some will be happy and others won't.

I'd rather pay real money to have the cars vs. the boring Blue Moon Bay Speedway grind. I've have no problem plopping down $20 for both 20mil cars (or preferably all the DLC cars for $20).

Got the p4 on the wheel yesterday. Already forked out 20mil for one. So ive sold it for 6 and im now 3 mil off the jag. The le man audi is going to bother me as i cant buy it i have to wait. Oh well 1st world problems.

I got the Jaguar already and I’m well on my way to getting the Ferrari.

If you put on an endurance race with more than 1 mil in prize credits and let your PS4 sit while you sleep or do stuff it’s suprisingly easy.

Anyways, the games economy was never really meant to handle all of these new expensive cars, but the people whined and they listened, so now we have these cars back for no good reason other than to please the GT7 complainers.

You can sell cars for credits?

I would like to see how people can buy the real car without grinding or Euromillion win in real life... I see it like that...

yes you can sell the ones you buy. But cant sell gifted ones. But you only get about 30% of what you pay.
So i kept the gift p4 and sold the one i bought for 20mil and got 6 mil. It depreciated 1 million per day as i only got it a few weeks ago. Lol.

I'm surprised PD hasn't tried microtransactions. It is an extreme example, but look at GTA. That game is close to 5 years old, and still gets in the top 10 of games sold every year. Shark cards have given R* so much money that they are still pumping out content for GTA.

I certainly wouldn't mind microtransactions for GTS if it means more we'd be getting way more tracks in the long haul.

Ill be honest I used the money glitch since day one so I have all cars except the two 20mil ones. If you gonna play it fair i would say the XP give away is just too low.

After the grind glitch, 2 months i have moved 1/10th of my 46lvl towards 47. Thats over 50 online races and bunch of lobby races too. At this rate ill reach lvl 47 in 2020.

Different people want different things. Your never gonna cater to everyone. Some people like the grind. It can give the game a longer life and a sense of achievement when you finally get that car/prize. Some people don't like the grind and want everything there and then. Having the grind itself can be a turn off. So what do you do?

I personally take my time. I don't really care how long it takes it to earn x car. But when I do, I feel that sense of achievement. Forza's give you everything really easy and I just don't have any sense of achievement with it. Pcars 2 I kinda have the same issue. Everything's unlocked. Career you unlock another tier. But I can race x car against whatever I want in quick race anyway. But I think the excitement of these cars is watered down for me anyway. I've had both in GT5 and GT6 plus been fortunate enough to see these cars run up Goodwood's hill numerous times.

But I do agree that GTS could be more generous with payouts. Maybe a daily login will return? And hopefully we can sell our gift cars for money. And obviously the way GT Sport works is different to previous GT's anyway. So it's quite hard to compare sense of achievement levels within the franchise (and other games). I mean older GT's we won cars and cash. Which is another thing I'd like to return. But saying that. Is there any point when most of the time we get dupes anyway? And we don't get that financial boost.

I just won the Jaguar XJ13 from the daily workout earlier this morning. Does anyone know of anyone winning a Ferrari P4 from the daily workout? I haven’t seen it in prize wheel yet.

What’s the money glitch you used? I didn’t know the gam had any. I just do the professional blue moon race with McLaren to $190,000. $285,000 with the clean raceing and car handicap bonus.

I'd still rather do the endurance. (I realy miss the real long endurance races from older GT's)
Purely personal but running an oval for an hour is no fun, so the higher reward is correct. :D

If you like ovals, than it's a no brainer, bring in the money.
Where is this oval race? In GT League?

Yeah GT League, Professional league/Premium Sports Lounge. You can detune a McLaren F1 and win easy or detune the Lamborghini Countach to an N400 and with a clean race you'll get around 314,000 cr. It's a little less cr than winning with the x-bow but a heck of a lot easier to drive to help you avoid getting banged into by the stupid AI

All you need to do to the X-Bow is put RSS on the back, RM on the front and give it two clicks of TCS. It's not as fast as the dedicated tune, but you can get it in 12 minutes dead without a fuss. You'll need to brake just after the 100m sign for the first corner, and a light lift for the last.

My biggest issue is the AI, because the X-Bow doesn't have escape velocity out of the corners I found myself constantly trying to keep track of where the AI was. It would never fail, the AI would constantly come out of the corners, sweep up the track & hit my car and ruin my perfect race bonus.. maybe those settings will help.. thanks for the tip!

Yeah, they're dicks.

With turn 1, you can only overtake on the outside on corner entry. Outbrake to the right and then sweep down into the apex. If you're going to catch the AI during the corner, only overtake on the inside. Hold back a little bit to keep the tight line then gas it.

On turn 3 it's best to stay wide. You can run at around 150mph in all four lanes, so just stay right, wait until they brake, give a little dab just after the 100m mark and pass to the right. The ONE exception to that is when you encounter AI cars being lapped by the lead AI. They will try to stay as right as they can and that will narrow the gap considerably. You can actually pass the lapping AI on the right and then duck under the lapped AI to the left.

And avoid getting the LaFerrari in your field. He's a total dick and will smash right into the back of you without regard. The Veyron is similar, but you can avoid him slightly better.

Another good car to win at the Blue Moon Bay is the Porsche 911 GT3 RS(991) '16 - N400, under a 12 minutes you can win and you get 345.000 credits and that with the clean race bonus. Don't worry about the LaFerrari in the field it does not even get close .

Here is my tune below and you can try it if you like, this tune is best with a wheel but ok with a DS4.

The gearbox, change final gear to 5.000 and then max speed to 200kmh, and the set the gears and don't forget to change the final gear last.

Well if you played the game from day one there were a few but now i think they are all fixed. The most famous was the Nurburgring pit lane glitch where in 45 seconds you get 200.000k and 2400xp if you do it clean. Just keep pressing that retry button and in about 30 mins you have 20 million and your driver lvl is close to 50.

Aren’t we supposed to get a few more cars from now to March sometime?

The money glitch was for around 3 months and a bit, sadly it is gone now.

Its only a grind if that's where your head is...

I would never have done any non PSVR offline races, I would rather drive online. So for me, it's been a grind purchasing these cars.

For people who like playing offline against AI, they can mix the races up and it is not a grind. It's easy to earn 1 million an hour and does not need to feel like a grind.

I am a gambler. Already got the jag.👍

Edit: i really should say i am lucky as i did not risk anything. Plus i only have to spend my day dreaming of the ferrari.:dopey:

Wow, it took me 50 hours to beat gravity rush 2's story.sidemissions/ obtain all items. If you don't have 25 hours to enjoy a game in its entirety, I suggest you pick another hobby. I spend about 20 hours a week studying. If you played GT sport one hour for a month, with a break every other day , you would have all cars .

Yeah, and some people spend about 40h or more a week working, having a family and a home to run on the side, and are basically left with 4 hours a week to play GT over two days. What do you think they'd like to do in their free time : racing friends online and do some events, or spend that time doing a repetitive and boring grinding task on a boring oval track with 98% flat-out time against an AI too slow to remotely bring some challenge ?

You can't compare an online-focused racing game and an adventure game. The later is like saying your friend he has to see all other star wars movies before he can come with you watch episode 8. The former is like telling him he has to watch 50 shades of grey 8 times in a row, or the whole star wars saga 5 times before finally being allowed to get a ticket for episode 8 - and if you don't want to do that, then ask you friends if they can cancel their Star Wars session and watch a Spongebob episode instead to include you (note that I like Spongebob, couldn't find a better example right now)

The “much better game” has worse graphics, sounds, physics, no online (not 100% sure if it’s gone yet but what online it did have was far worse) and more grinding. Ok?

I’ll admit that GTS has its problems and quite a few of them, but it’s nonsense to say GT6 compares, let alone is “much better”, simply because it’s on an old gen console so it’s not a fair comparison.
