Wow, ive had this issue on my kitchen counter for almost a week... No big news here, its everything they had been expecting other than the "DSG, but its NOT DSG" twin-clutch transmission.

I wouldnt be surprised to see it knocking on the Z06's door, but for the price, its not the everyman's Ferrari-killer like the 'Vette.

I like the front now as opposed to some of the Spy Shots.
Still doesn't exactly fit.

I skimmed through the review and found it as a good read instead of seriousness.

The only thing I took serious on Page 52-53.:sly:

...Makes you wonder how kick-ass the GT3 (next best to the Z06 in my book) and GT2 will be...

Argh... I hate the front bumper. :grumpy:

I agree. Something about it doesn't fit. Might just be the pictures, but it almost looks too plain, or cheap.

I absolutely hated the dimples when I first saw them on a spy shot. Now I'm beginning to not mind them as much...

Yup, the GT3 is the new 911 that i always look forward to.

Yeah, the Turbo isn't the Ultimate 911.

The GT2, GT3, and even the Turbo S Sport Package (or whatever they call it this time) all claim that title more accurately than the base Turbo.

Neat bit about the "overboost" system.

Wonder how much it will cost in repair bills though.

It's a nice design if you ask me. I'm not going to get into the "why have a Porsche when you can have a Corvette?" deal since Corvette was mentioned, but this model looks pretty nice. Only uncertain element I have is maybe the double side duct. Compared to the 996, it looks a bit off for this Porsche. The front isn't too bad. Overall, it should be another nice design from this storied make.

And for what I know, Porsche already has their ultimate modern car available for sale. Recall the Carerra GT? This 997 should be a sweet Porsche for those who have the briefcases of cash.

I've just noticed that the spec sheet says it's a Twin Turbo - was the 996 Turbo a twin or single turbo?

so the 996 Turbo was a twin turbo as well? - well that little nugget of info passed me by!

I still haven't got my issue of C/D yet... For some reason, I always get the magazine a week or two behind everyone. :grumpy:
