Bluebird is also this

Ah yes, of course. So you can make it a record breaker either way - make it the fastest aircraft in the world, or one of the original speed record breakers. Or keep it as the most drifty car in the world.

Stupid idea but make a drift mod for it ;) certain suicide

RUF did that part already.

That's a car. Not a plane :P

Great review of the Lancia Delta S4 C-ZETA, I agree about the 037 and the Audi's lack of presence in this game. Would of been great if they included those and the Mighty Metro and the Escort Mk2.

No, I was talking about the SR71 Blackbird.

[IMG/]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/9/97/Lockheed_SR-71_Blackbird.jpg[/IMG]

What a beast.

So beastly, the friction caused as it flew through the air was enough to heat it to such high temperatures where the metal exterior extended by dangerous amounts! :scared:

For days after a flight, the SR-71 would leak oil because the panels still hadn't returned to their normal position.

Delta s4 is cursed im my view, after seeing the photos of the burned to a crisp space frame of the s4 that tiovonen and his co driver were cooked in. The horror!!!!

Love the Yellowbird, I have four (Yellowbird, Blackbird, Bluebird and Firebird (orange)).

As you said in the review the car's only real weakness is high speed corners. It has explosive acceleration, it's very predictable in the corners so it has very good potential for its PP, but in fast corners like the right hander before spoon corner at Suzuka, it's really struggling. Still the most fun car to drive in the game.

Here's Yellowbird vs Blackbird vs Bluebird:

Mercedes-Benz 190 E Evolution II '91
Brought to you by Car of the Week, where the greatest cars from a certain manufacturer, in the world, are showcased

CapeRingNorth.jpg

Mercedes-Benz 190 E 2.5 - 16 Evolution II '91
Stats

Power: 236bhp
Weight: 1340kg
Price: 67,910 Cr.
Prize: Yes (Mercedes-Benz AMG Academy Intermediate Silver)
0-60: 7.008 seconds
0-100: 16.631 seconds

1 mile: 37.597 seconds
Max Speed: 154.3mph
Max G-Force: 0.52G
Drivetrain: FR
Possible AI in: FR Challenge, European Championship

I personally believe this to be one of my favourite Mercs ever. As a matter of fact, I have always gone by the fact that Mercedes, as the original inventor of the car, are the ones that do it best. (Note best =/= favourite.)

This particular car doesn't necessarily demonstrate what Mercedes does best nowadays, but it certainly demonstrates what your average crazy touring car would look like if it were built to be on the road.

CapeRingNorth_1.jpg

Indeed, this 190 E Evo II was built specifically as a homologation for the DTM series, with 500 special Blauschwarz 190Es being built for the purpose, based from the first Evolution model. The Touring Car itself is in this game for your experience, but we're not here for that. We're here for the road legal version.

Driving this thing isn't exactly the last word in fast, as this is not exactly as epic on speed as you would expect it to be. But it does slide a heckload. This is, of course, FR, and I tuned one up previously, mainly as a road-going cruiser rather than a true speed machine, in current Mercedes style (I even tried to limit it to 155! Though this stock model almost does that in itself :P). However, on Suzuka Circuit East's drift trial I went and tried it out and got gold in it almost instantaneously.

CapeRingNorth_2.jpg

Indeed, this could largely be considered one of the best drifters in the entire game, and certainly one of the top Europeans in a cast that is dominated by super-powered Japanese FR cars. Pretty much the only thing that can rival this thing in drifting that isn't across another continent is the BMW M Coupe, which is similarly awesome like the 190 E here and even faster when you're keeping it sane. Still, this is surprisingly well-balanced in sliding even when you haven't modded it.

CapeRingNorth_3.jpg

I think that the events you can race this in are also good bets for doing in this thing yourself. You'll obviously need some modification to get anywhere in the FR Challenge, but it might well be mid-table originally in the Euro Championship. Beating the faster things needs more modification. This is also a rather simple-to-obtain machine, if you can get round the Nurburgring well in an SLS AMG. I got gold in the AMG Academy Intermediate with enough struggling, which not only gets you this but another beast Mercedes, the CLK-LM. Strive for gold on the first two AMG Academy events: the rewards are super awesome.

CapeRingNorth_4.jpg

So, while the 190 E Evo II might not be that fast, it certainly has an awesome cool factor to it. Like many touring cars, really. The DTM has moved to a new exciting coupe style now, with many people looking highly forward to the first race of these new tourers on the 29th April at Hockenheim. For the time being, prep yourself up with the good old days when this was one of the men to beat. Unfortunately, no road M5s here. Sorry.

Final Score: 14/20

I love the looks of the 190E and in reality it is also a very striking car, I saw one at Goodwood one year. However, in the game, it really doesn't feel like the lightweight sports saloon it should be. In fact, it's 236bhp feels quite sluggish. That may be harsh and it could just be down to me not being able to appreciate the cars' pace as there is a large selection of much faster cars in the game, but it just isn't 'special' enough, certainly not enough to live up to its' Batmobile looks. Can you start putting the standard PP for each car in your reviews? It's useful to know...

As for requests, I'd like to hear your opinions on a British bruiser, so a TVR Cerbera Speed 6 or an Aston Martin V8 Vantage. Both are very powerful, but quite heavy brutes...

And now, it is time to do
THE COOL WALL!!!
*cue applause from audience that weren't here before you started reading this*

Yes, today we have another cool wall update on FRIDAY 13TH...*dramatic "dun dun dunnnn." music*

Yes, I know. So, which cars will get unlucky today...and which ones will not?

We begin today with the

Peugeot RCZ.

Peugeot-RCZ_2011_800x600_wallpaper_01-1.jpg

This is Peugeot's most recent coupe, and it has sort of been one of the main figures of what is beginning to be a renaissance for them. After years of building a whole ton of jokes, this came along and actually seemed to be good.

Granted, even the top version might not have been as fast as many might have been expecting but it's good enough for a French car certainly. Cool.

Next is the

Volkswagen W12 Nardo Concept.

Volkswagen-W12_Coupe_Concept_2001_800x600_wallpaper_01-1.jpg

There are many many problems with this thing implying its coolness. Firstly, driving it on GT5 is a nightmare, secondly, it has a full glass roof which does get somewhat annoying on occasion, thirdly, it's not in production, and lastly, it has a Veedub badge on it.

I know it is very well aspired for in GT5, as you could guess by the reaction many have had to its appearance in the OCD, but this is one of the most humiliating supercars you could own. Whereas normal supercars are impossible to actually use normally, this has a VW badge in addition which would rather turn you off if you could actually own one. And you can't. Seriously Uncool, here, unfortunately...

Next comes our GT5 Car of the Week for this week which is the

Mercedes-Benz 190 E Evolution II.

CapeRingNorth.jpg

I'm sure I explained this well enough in the review but this is a good car. A very likeable one. A very awesome. A touring car based one. This was meant to rival the M5 back in the day and be something that has been largely shaken up since this was introduced all the way back in '91 - a super saloon.

The giant wing on the back of this thing combined with all them sleek looks in Blauschwarz paint (there's no Blau, by the way) make this thing one of the damn most awesome Mercs ever. Cool.

Now we move onto the

Land Rover Range Stormer.

Land_Rover-Range_Stormer_Concept_2004_800x600_wallpaper_01-1.jpg

I have already reviewed this as well. And I have to say, while it is good at being the sole Land Rover representative in GT5, it really isn't a good role model for actual Landies. Look at it, for god's sake...it is really rather overdone. With those really big wheelarches and the fat cover, it might as well be good that Land Rover didn't necessarily take onboard the design style of the Range Stormer. Think of what the Evoque would have looked like...and even the new, horrible Defender could have been overdone even more than it already is. This one is Uncool, here.

Finally we conclude this Cool Wall segment with another awesome German car, known as the

Audi RS2 Avant.

Audi-RS2_Avant_1993_800x600_wallpaper_01-1.jpg

This superseded every other RS after it, and is one of my absolute personal favourite cars not just from Germany, but probably from all time. This car made the current fast Audis we know today, though the quattro was the first fast Audi...but this was one that did relative luxury and speed combined together.

Check this fact out too.

In a road test conducted in 1995, British car magazine Autocar timed the RS2 from 0 to 30 mph (48 km/h) at just 1.5 seconds, which they confirmed was faster than both the McLaren F1 road car, and also Jacques Villeneuve's Formula One car of that time. Even by more modern standards, its performance is exceptional; it could accelerate on-par with the C5 generation Chevrolet Corvette and a 996 generation Porsche 911.

Damn right, son.

This is the ultimate estate car ever, bar none. The RS division might well have never produced anything better. Audi might well have never produced anything better. Germany might well have never produced anything better...Sub-Zero beastiality here. Hotpoint Freezer, almost...

This concludes this transmission of "C-ZETA's Cool Wall, sent Friday 13 April, 2012". Take care, bye. This message shall self-destruct in 5 seconds.

Hello GTPlanet. ;)

I haven't taken any requests in a while.

So, guess what I'm doing...

...I'm doing...

...your dinner tonight.

...Lol, jk.

Seriously, this is now

REQUEST TIME.

Give me something, anything, you wish me to review, evaluate, slide, race, crash, destroy, smash, wreck, win or love. Do whatever you feel like...gimme a slow-motion kei car made real by tuning...gimme a supercar...gimme a racer...gimme a 276hp Japanese car...ask me to eat a donut or show pics of hot girls, for all I care!

Gimme any suggestions you wish to and I'll select some from the doubtless bundle of requests I shall have in my thread and do them for y'all guys. Unless you ask me to do a freefall from space. That's definitely not gonna get done, for sure.

As a note, if you request something that I don't have, I accept it and you happen to be on my friends list, it would be of great help if you stick it up on your Online list for me to borrow (Premiums don't need this, but any tunes + anything over the million mark almost certainly will require borrowing no matter what). I am not exactly planning on going through a Mitsubishi FTO Super Touring Car/Volkswagen Karmann Ghia Coupe phase of scrolling through the UCD just for one...damn...frickin...MIATA!

So anyway, go mad with your requests. Gimme some cars. Or girls. Or even marriage requests. I'll be sure to accept any of the latter two :sly:

-_- eh? The best drifter? Have you tried the yellow bird? Oh you have. Nuff said : p

When it's modified. It is a lot more balanced than the YellowBird, just the Canary happens to be a lot more ridiculous as a drifter in general, and therefore better if you can keep it under control enough.

However, in the game, it really doesn't feel like the lightweight sports saloon it should be. In fact, it's 236bhp feels quite sluggish. I have noticed it isn't horrifyingly fast in this game, but then stuff like Nissan Micra's in real life and their lack of speed can get to you and affect the speed of other potentially fast things in this game. It's why so many hot hatches feel just a bit too slow.

And we have another Batmobile, you say? The luxury choice, I guess.

I don't put PP in the stats as it doesn't generally ever matter as much as one might think. Case in point, Caterham 7 Fireblade. And another, the Chaparral Twoj.

TVR Cerbera Speed 6 might well be very nice. The LM Edition in GT1 was a particularly speedy thing. I really think the Aston V8 Vantage is terrible though IMHO - unlike most things from GT4, the acceleration problems it had are still here, and it just makes it totally horrendous.

Can you review my 86 gt tune or my Mazda roadster tune

I'll give them a look.

Well since you won't test my favorite "Pocket Monster" how about a review of my Ginneta G4 "Holy Handgrenade"?
There is even a Knighthood (and a free car) in it for you if you can make the target time in my "Quest for the Holy Grail" challenge.:D

I will do your Pocket Monster here though. I also knew even before you posted that you'd mention it. :P

I tried the Holy HandGrenade and my god is it a difficult little thing. As is every other Ginetta G4 ever.

He adores that thing, it's only a matter of time before he makes it take over the world or something. :P

Alright…brace yourselves for the "vs stock, it is a grip monster" rant from Desperado now.

I actually need to do another update for the "Pocket.Monster" have ideas on how to make it better.

No rant Onboy. The car is a real handful regardless. I think my tune is pretty good but that's sort of like saying that getting shot in the leg is better than getting shot in the gut.

Why not bring out the X-factor for the party too? It wouldn't be out of place. And the Pocket Monster can be improved? That can't be...

Well, a shot is still a shot, no matter where it hits. And that goes for the Holy Handgrenade too...:scared:

request, you say?

how about something yellow and sexy, something akin to Kiss-Shot Acerola-Orion Heart-Under-Blade? :sly:

remember the cars I suggested to you lol

If C-Zeta reviews the X-Factor he needs to make sure and run it on some rally courses where I think its at its most fun.👍👍
