cadillac cien top speed???

i'm currently using my cien a lot for dragging, and i smoke allmost any car (exept veyrons, x1, f1) and i was wondering what the top speed is of this car, i've reached 258mph on circuit de la sarthe, but i think with a beast setup, it must be able to reach at least 262mph, and i also think it's weird that not a lot of ppl use them for drag racing, because its awsome :) so how fast does your cien go??

Well people are hitting 258mph in the tunnel but still get smoked by enzo's because cien's don't have the launch. I don't know where your dragging but us at SSR7 use them alot.
 
Well it's listed at 264 in the "top speed of all gt5 cars" thread but I'm sure there's been faster. Had my Enzo doing 262 on the northbound run at Sarthe but that will never count officially because of the bumpy downhill slope. Official top speeds are done at ssr7

agreed, the enzo has better launch, but in the tunnel, i've taken over a lot of enzo's but that happens in 3d/4th gear, and usually they don't catch up to me after that :)

whaaat??? never seen a enzo get beaten by a cien??? of all the enzo's ive raced against, i won about 70% of them, but a enzo with a real good setup can win for shure though:)

Well, I beat Enzos with my ZR1.....:cool:. But that only shows how poor the enzo tune is.
Cien is not that much slower, that's right, but even a decent enzo tune would be faster. Not a big deal.

no way a cien is beating an enzo in the tunnel

any badly tuned enzo(or any car) can lose a to good tuned car, like dr.slump said, even a vette

if your cien beats enzos, you are racing the wrong people. they are giving you a false sense of accomplishment

like i said, i do not beat all enzo's, if they are well tuned they win, but more than half of the enzo's have a bad setup :)

No way in hell a good cien tune vs a good enzo tune, will win tunnel drag race... Just on the launch the enzo would be at least 3 cars, and there is no catching up after that..... But if u say it those I got to see it to believe it, or the enzo u racing need emergency help.....

Saw a cien today, was the fastest thing i've seen i think, was hitting 272MPH @ de la sarthe, whitout slipstreaming, and at the launch it was about 1,5 car lengths behind the enzo but after 3d gear that cien was BEAST
 
For all out top speed there's no way at top tune Enzo is as fast as a Cien with a good tune. Since these two cars will never reach their top speed in the tunnel the tunnel comparison is pointless.

Yes you can get a true top speed in the tunnel, for one le sarth is too bumpy so you need to tune your suspention for the bumps. If i can get my veyron 285mph no draft in the tunnel im pretty sure you get a little cien to top out, if it's not topping out then your 6th gear is too long.

Sorry, I should have said a tunnel drag where you only get to around 250 in an Enzo. But with a good running start into the tunnel then yes you'll get to top speed.

I can't figure out where your finding that extra 5 mph in your veyron. I called it quits at 280 :)
 
i got 254 in the tunnel from a standing start in the tunnel, no slipstream, with my cien, and i recon it's still kinda slow for a cien, in the tunnel i end up kinda equally as most enzo's ive raced, but i'm shure there are enzo's outh there that also can reach that speed in the tunnel, if not faster:)
 
A properly tuned enzo will hit 251mph in a tunnel drag, a cien will never beat a well tuned enzo in the tunnel and the reason is because the enzo has so much acceleration it's not funny and power's all the way through to 251mph. You could get more top end but You sacrifice launch for it. Properly tuned enzo's and my enzo included can beat wheelie popping speed 12's by a car or more, cien's in the tunnel hit about 258 in a drag but the enzo has to much acceleration for it. I've never seen a well tuned cien beat a well tuned enzo in a tunnel drag race.
 
Since this is a Cien thread, My question is this. I've been a car, mainly muscle fanatic ever since I can remember. and have been playing Gran turismo from the start. What I can't understand, is how the Cadillac Cien is considered a muscle car?
Is it or isn't it?

I got the modern muscle gift card and I duplicate it multiple times and I've never gotten the cien out of it, me personally I believe its a concept of a Cadillac supercar not a muscle.
 
That's exactly how I look at it as. It's a concept car. The only reason it would even be put in the muscle class is because it's a Cadillac? Made by GM? thanks for the input man,
 
No problem, the cien yes its GM but the intention of the making of it was to commemorate the 100th birthday of Cadillac, but the car on GT5 it performs kind of like a ZR1 Corvette witch its also considered not a muscle car to the must of people I know.

I think he it's having a bad launch where it will enlarge the time to go thorough the tunnel, i've never race a cien on the the tunnel but to me it sounds like 253mph its the right top speed cause it makes it at the en in a less shorter time than 258mph, I may give it a try after I get home and see what my results would be :)

like i said, in my opinion my cien is still slow, that other guy ive seen was proper fast it was 12mph faster than me, i only hit 254 in the tunnel :)and your enzo propably got a beast tune :) lol
