Well I caved and bought it, since I'm getting a little tired of BF4 being my go-to shooter after like 6 years.
Loved the campaign, I did it on hardened. My only gripe was it felt kind of short, but that is nothing new with COD so it's not a big deal to me. It was still really well done. I will probably replay it on the realistic difficulty in a few months when it feels fresh again. The outrage about the missions still makes me laugh, this is not a game for sensitive people.
Multiplayer is alright, it's not as "run and gun" as the previous dozen cod games which is refreshing. But I'm not crazy about it either, but maybe I am just bored with traditional game modes like domination, team deathmatch, etc. I
really wish it launched with battle royale, but I'm sure they will release that sooner than later. Ground war is more or less what I expected, it has the same annoyances as BF like people in vehicles camping in their own spawns and being useless, or people just playing a game of domination like it's team death match. It's frustrating for someone like me who actually wants to win and play the objectives. Not a fan of the maps in ground war either, the factory one is by far the worst imo.
Haven't tried the spec ops missions yet, but I appreciate the extra content.
Overall I'd give it an 8/10. Pretty good for a modern Call of Duty game.
@Brett there is a shotgun with incendiary shells on the wall where the guy comes out of, the other enemies drop some too. It took me a couple tries but I put that big ****er down relatively easily with that thing.
