They already are, there are four missions you can do. They're the first section of the Co-Op menu and they are labelled Operation *Something*, I don't know them all off hand.

Huh? I don't see them. Does this only work when online? Can I play them alone ?

I have old friends on xbox that I’d love to team up with again. I played Battlefield with them for years on xbox. My xbox is dead and I don’t want to replace it.

I live in ontario, they are from Michigan so I don’t think the lag would be bad.

I hope not, for your sake. I was thinking more about how cross platform will mess things up, not so much the distance between players. You'll be connected with people all over the country so don't think about that part of it so much.

And now I am on the last mission:

The Juggernaut fight is not fun. I have already died a half dozen times in a short amount of time. It is frustrating. I guess I could lower the difficulty, but having not done that at all so far, I am not sure I want to do that.

I just decided to lower the difficulty for the time being. I do not really feel like continuing to mess around with frustration and am ready to jump into the multiplayer.

Well I caved and bought it, since I'm getting a little tired of BF4 being my go-to shooter after like 6 years.

Loved the campaign, I did it on hardened. My only gripe was it felt kind of short, but that is nothing new with COD so it's not a big deal to me. It was still really well done. I will probably replay it on the realistic difficulty in a few months when it feels fresh again. The outrage about the missions still makes me laugh, this is not a game for sensitive people.

Multiplayer is alright, it's not as "run and gun" as the previous dozen cod games which is refreshing. But I'm not crazy about it either, but maybe I am just bored with traditional game modes like domination, team deathmatch, etc. I really wish it launched with battle royale, but I'm sure they will release that sooner than later. Ground war is more or less what I expected, it has the same annoyances as BF like people in vehicles camping in their own spawns and being useless, or people just playing a game of domination like it's team death match. It's frustrating for someone like me who actually wants to win and play the objectives. Not a fan of the maps in ground war either, the factory one is by far the worst imo.

Haven't tried the spec ops missions yet, but I appreciate the extra content.

Overall I'd give it an 8/10. Pretty good for a modern Call of Duty game.

@Brett there is a shotgun with incendiary shells on the wall where the guy comes out of, the other enemies drop some too. It took me a couple tries but I put that big ****er down relatively easily with that thing.

Im thinking of buying this on Black Friday as well as a 1 year PS Plus subscription (serving for both CoD and GTS). Would everyone here who has played recommend?

Would everyone here recommend?

I would. This is my favorite Call of Duty this generation, I'd put it right up there with CoD 4 and Modern Warfare 2 as well as the first 2 Blops games. The time to kill is very fast so you'll die quite a bit as you're learning the maps and guns, but once it starts to click it is great fun. In my opinion, of course.

Yeah I would recommend. This is coming from someone who stopped playing COD for awhile after the first black ops. I had a serious hate for this series up until this one. I'm expecting some predatory microtransactions though, activision is a scummy publisher.

I'll give you a warning though, camping in multiplayer is abundant. It's the worst shooter I've seen for this, not even exaggerating. This is mostly due to map design imo, camping is the meta.

The night vision mode is phenomenal.I dont play FPS games typically but I’m loving this.

Picked this up today. I have a love/hate thing with call of duty. I tend to prefer the Treyarch games with BO2 being by far my favourite. I've heard mixed things about MW but I like the look of the gunplay, The modes with bigger maps and player counts appeal to me as a BF player also.

I ended up just lowering the difficulty for the time being. While I did really enjoy the Campaign, I was over it at that point and ready to jump into multiplayer, which I have actually yet to do. Life getting in the way and what not.

Anybody on PC? How’s the optimization, running cool on the gpu?
Just played for the first 2 or 3 hours, seems pretty good, was getting decent frame rates but I didn't have a counter enabled to know exact FPS, the cutscenes lagged really strangely though and then when they started working again the audio was out of sync, that's really the only issue I've had so far.

Been playing this game like crazy over the last week or so. If you haven’t played Cyber Attack yet, give it a shot. Hands-down the best game mode in Multiplayer. I’ve been playing it over and over with my Kar98 and MP7 class which has gotten some interesting reactions from the guys running M4 Carbines and shotguns.

My EBR-14 set-up gets similar reactions, which is odd as the EBR I've found excellent, stupidly stable at any range and packs a hell of a punch particularly if you combine it with Stopping Power. Throw in the 15 round mag and Tactical Silencer and on the larger maps and its great fun.

I really like how they have worked in silencers this time around, as they for once don't limit range and damage, (in fact quite the opposite in terms of range) but rather the aim down sight speed and movement. They finally have it right.

Also loving the 'mount' system as it works really well the vast majority of the time and is quick and easy to step into and out of.

I've been running the M14 in Cyber Attack myself as well, I run it with the EBR stock, a foregrip, the FMJ perk, a 3.5x thermal scope and the extended magazine. I use it unsuppressed but I also have Ghost equipped so I can move around under enemy UAVs. I think I'm up to about 170-200 kills with it at this point so it's in the top 3 of my most used weapons. I usually run that class with the R9-0 on secondary via Overkill as well. I find it works well for Ground War and Cyber Attack.

I've been wanting to try out the scope for the M14 in order to relive some of the Modern Warfare 2 M21 EBR days, but I haven't gotten around to that yet. Will probably save that for when I try a counter-sniping build for Ground War.

On a different note, I've been seeing a lot of mixed reviews about this game and there seems to be a sizable group that dislikes this game with a passion, mostly towards the multiplayer. My friend in real life I wanted to play this game with has unfortunately fallen into that camp. The only modes I've played in the game so far are Cyber Attack and Ground War and they've been absolutely wonderful. I hear a lot of complaints about camping and spawns particularly in TDM but I find that mode pales in comparison to the other new experiences on offer so I haven't played a single round of TDM yet myself. Personally I've noticed the most camping on Ground War but the Defcon system does a good job of forcing your team to push objectives. In Cyber Attack, I haven't noticed much camping at all and everyone I get matched with seems to play the objective most of the time.

I've played a fair bit of most modes and have to say that I think that the hype over camping is massively over blown.

It's been a factor in every CoD title since 4, and it's not much worse in my view in the reboot.

Personally I think it's the best CoD title since MW2.

I got a bit of play time in today before I head off to work. The new map Shoot House is actually really good. It’s pretty much a traditional COD map and there’s only a couple of doors and one building to go into. From the two rounds of Cyber Attack I played there, it was intense and fast-paced. I had a pretty awesome life where I domed a guy with the Kar98, swapped to my MP7 and tore through the rest of their team with some flanking and claymores. They planted the bomb but I was able to flank, diffuse, bring it to their objective and finish off the rest of their team using a cruise missile and UAV. Finished that game on top of the scoreboard.

Why are more people not taking about Cyber Attack? I went into it from the mindset of someone who hates and sucks at Search, but I played one round by accident and it turns out I’m really good at it for some reason. I’ve been top half of my team pretty much every time I’ve played it so far.

How far is everyone along when it comes to officer ranks? I've gotten to level 86 after a day or two, and I want to grind up to 155 to get that M4 variant, but the mountain seems very steep.

Only 34, I really want to unlock the ak. And also the tactical insertion, it looks very handy for ground war

I am something like Rank 11. I have been spending too much time playing against bots trying different guns.

I've reached Level 122 today after another session of grinding on a free day. I also discovered a love for the SCAR-H through some of the challenges. Hopefully the first themed operation isn't for another little while because I think 155 and the OG M4 variant is attainable for me right now.
