Should this also be included in GT5 seeing how PD already have rights?

Shouldn't we also get Nationwide as well? I am all for it but strongly doubt it. I wish someone with KY's love of cars would make a NASCAR game to include all of them!

Do they have the rights? I'm sorry, I must have missed that one. The offical rights we knoew they have are NASCAR stock cars, Super GT and WRC. I kow NASCAR do truck races and lesser levels of stock car racing, but from what we've seen it's safe to assume that only the top level stock cars have been licensed.

I really doubt that the rights are just limited to the main series but can optionally include the Nationwide and Truck series

I'm not positive, but I think that having the NASCAR licence gives you the purview of all of the series therein. The only reason that they aren't usually featured is simply because most of the time EA doesn't bother with them.

I don't care if these 'trucks' are implemented in the final game. NASCAR will be enough with what we've seen so far. I actually want to turn right at some stage (Yes, it does happen).

What I DO want to see is trophy trucks and more races for the standard pickups. The one beginner race in GT4 wasn't hard enough.

Yeah, I would love to race the trucks in GT5. They always put on good racing. There will be plenty of cars to "turn right" in, I don't see what the problem is with the trucks or any other oval series being implemented, it's not like they can't turn right if PD included road or street circuits into the "Championship" or whatever the set up for the stockers will be.

Though, adding in the Nationwide cars would be like 30 Skylines, they really are not all that different from the Cup cars, but the Trucks are a bit different, I'm sure they handle a bit differently too. Not that I'd complain if we had Nationwide cars, especially the new Mustang an Challenger COT Nationwide cars. I'm sure being as both the trucks and the N-wide cars are underpowered to the Cup cars, they will offer a mildly different driving experience.

But I will say I'll be fine with just the Cup cars, that was a surprise all on it's own.

I hear,I would love to see PD make a ALL-OUT NASCAR game,From your local track such as Bowman Gray Stadium to Daytona International Speedway and Bandolero/Legends Cars to Sprint Cup would be cool.

My post was pointless, so I'm just going to leave it at this...

American.
The cars are not built out of "Fiberclass", its steel.

I really hope the trucks will make it to the game. They're... awesome! 👍

I'm sorry, I think it's not safe to assume anything until we get the full and final feature list from PD; along with what series will be included with the NASCAR licence.

Indeed, I can't see not wanting more content like this!
Not that I think they will be, but still, racing like this is insanity!

Keep in mind the main pack of trucks at the end, there are only 16 of them, looks hectic!

The Camping World Truck series is a series in NASCAR, just like the Sprint Cup series and the Nationwide series, they are all part of NASCAR.

i mean classical nascar cars are enough.. however they can put in the game whatever they want i'll never play nascar.

You point out my posts as being wrong for making an assumtion yet this very thread is one big assumption that because we've got the top level stock cars (I'm not sure what they're specifcally called beyond NASCAR stock cars), that PD automatically have the license for the trucks as well. Nothing has suggested this is the case so far, so to say that they have it is an assumption. We know what we know and nothing has appeared to suggest that the trucks will be included or are licensed. They may be, but to suggest they are is one big assumption in itself. Some licenses are tricky and specific due to how the licensee wants to handle their branding. I understand maybe NASCAR have done everything included licenses in the past, but is there any evidence that every license has been given that way. And also, given comments from NASCAR recently about how they're handing out licenses non-exclusively now is it a stretch to think that things could very possibly have changed if they always did cover everything before.

I don't want to be offensive, but i just don't care for pickups/trucks in general.

Too bad, you'll miss something. :)

Me? I like every kind of motorsport... almost. I'll participate in NASCAR, WRC and Super GT. Plus everything else PD have to offer.

What about the Grand-am Rolex Sports car sires. Nascar owns them too. Plus it would be a great substitute since PD doesn't have an official ALMS license.

Yeah, they would be awesome indeed.

I'd also think the IROC (International Race Of Champions) series cars would be cool to have, although the series was cancelled after the 2006 season.

I was merely pointing out how you were so certain we wouldn't have trucks or any other NASCAR series besides the top-level Sprint Cup. As far as I know, PD have never specified exactly what they mean when they say they have NASCAR, as it's not just one series.

IROC... That would be awesome, but I don't see that happening either. I'm with Strittan on this, if it has wheels and involves some sort of racing, I'm more than happy to give it a shot, no reason to discriminate against a form of motor sport, that unless you've competed in, have no idea if it will be fun or not. Watching it on TV may be boring, but piloting one, even in the virtual world should be more than fun. Put air racing or off shore power boats it, it would still be cool. Pssh, I'd even race moon rovers I really don't care  really, the more the game has the better for everyone.

I'm thinking though that the content for GT5 is already determined, not that we have had anything that points one way or another as far as what will be in, aside from a few things, but I'd really like to know, because otherwise, it's just dreaming about what might be in. Hope we get lot's of DLC :D.

No V8 Supercars?

I hate any form of Nascar. I think they made a bad mistake to put it in GT5 cause its thee most boring sport ever besides the crashes which can be intresting.

Right, because they don't do parade laps at qualifying speed ? Seriously though, driving a Nascar in GT5 is going to be equally as boring how? Yeah, boring from your couch perhaps, but I think you would have a different idea of it from a different vantage point, even with GT5. If you've been to races and still feel differently, then disregard all this, but at least give it a chance.

Supercars are a must.
