More misguided and uninformed logic from 12sec. Civic.

Plus if they hit you they will do WAY more damage than being hit by a car.

Even if the SUV was a CR-V and the car was a Town Car? Uhh...

I am totally Anti-SUV because they defy all logic in every way that could be conceived.

WHOA! SUV's DEFY LOGIC! I need to get a few of these logic-defying automobiles.

Hey 12sec. Civic,
You said SUV's defy all logic. Well, what if you had a family of say, seven, and you all liked to go off-roading every once in a while. How are you going to do that in a minivan?? Yeah, I know that probably 90% of SUV's will never go off-road but there is still that other 10%.So no, they do not defy all logic.

Not trying to start a war here. :)

I say the perfect SUVs to hate are Fords, GMs, and Dodges.

Example: just take a look on the Ford Excusion; Hummer H1 & H2; and Dodge Durango (esp. w/ the V8).
They have the bulk to intimidate other drivers (w/c causes crashes), they have the gas mileage that guzzles more than a man who hasn't eaten in years (that explains our funding to Al Queda), and finally, just hearing the Excursions diesel engine noise will make your ears pop out (ear-shattering).

Less words, more meaning. :)

One fear I have is that all of these SUV drivers will actually try to imitate the commercials and go out to the wilderness. If they all did it then it would truly suck. Fortuantely 90% never will go off road and therein lies the ironic stupidity. Why have one?

Last winter I went up to the mountains to take my dog out in the snow (poor husky living in the desert). All the forest roads were packed like rush hour with sight seers and sledders. These idiots took cars onto snowy forest roads  . I don't know how many I saw stuck.

But then there were the SUV's that got stuck. I think people don't have a realistic idea of what 4X4 is capable of. They do have their limits.

So the wilderness strewn with defeated SUV's... that's one way they harm the environment: Loss of Wilderness. Responsible off-roaders can cooperate and enjoy the backwoods in relative peace but I'm afraid it'll get out of hand. It's like that Subaru Outback TV Ad, with the couple quietly admiring the pretty deer and then the huge Excursion barrels through.

My new favorite to hate is the new Hummer. WTF?!

environmentalists need not worry about themselves and instead other people. that makes our life worse. food for thought: -evironmentalists complained that all of the vehicles on the autobahn were causing damages to the forests surrounding stretches of the road so they made the speed limit 100kph, wouldnt this hurt the surounding lands more since they are going slower?-

If you dont understand why something that is BIGGER needs more energy to move and is generally bigger and more expensive then I give up. They are also worse in accidents because they can't stop, swerve out of the way, or even accelerate out of the way as easily as a car. Plus if they hit you they will do WAY more damage than being hit by a car.

Well I agree and disagree..... Driving tests have revealed that the likes of the :bmw: X5 handle, brake and perform better than many cars?

However I agree the economy side of things they are heavy 🤬

I can understand what you're trying to say, but can you explain to me how slower cars equals more environmental damage...?

Because if a car is unable to more swiftly get to the destination of its driver it leaves the engine running longer. Though a car might produce less pollution at slower speeds, the longer amount of time may negate the benefit.

Idiots are walking around in Richmond, Virginia, and destroying SUV's because they're an environmental danger.

Does anyone know how SUV's are a danger to the environment?

Well Enviro-Wackos wants everybody to eat grass and live in caves. If you really want to screw with these people tell them if you believe that animals have more rights to live than humans. Tell them don't eat anything because the grass that you were going to eat is for the cows, deer, and elk. The cave you want to live in has a Black Bear in it, Don't drink any water because the fish is more important than you. HEHEHE
