hmmm this is a good point. I've always known slight oversteer is the fastest way round a corner. Taking the corner as a whole with a variety of loads on the wheels such as load shifting forwards under braking, nice and neutral middle of the corner and load to the rear on exit where would you want all your grip? :P

of course oversteer is still a racing technique, in racing your playing with 100% of your grip + 10% slip with drifting your 100 + 10 front and 100% grip + upto let's say 100% slip (which it won't be lol), who's got the finer balance? :embarrassed:

You don't understand, Drifting was invented for a new way of going down the mountain with the fastest time...

Lets see if google can help you on this one ;)

You know how fast you can enter corners? I guess not I'm assuming you don't get to race real life very often... Oh well...

mmmhm. touge is for fun not for speed. yes in certain circumstances oversteering in a corner is faster. a full drift ( initiated before thecorner etc) is not faster. end of. this argument has came about years ago for real drifting and it was found that sometimes you may enter a corner faster than the equivilent grip run but you will not make it round faster... if you care to check I've been a member of driftworks.com since 2006... own an s14.... and have attended various track days.
