Can bob be trusted with the FGT?

I've read everywhere that if you want to leave bob alone for the endurance races you need the X1, but I really don't want an X1. Just doesn't appeal to me. Anyways, I do have an FGT and would love to be able to do an endurance and leave bob to work overnight and wake up with cash. I'm not there yet, but just wondering if acquiring the X1 should be on my list of things before than.

The FGT will crush any of the endurance races (that it's eligible for, of course) up to and including the Sarthe 24 hour. It'll likely do them all but I haven't done the 24 hour 'Ring race yet as I'm currently only at level 37. Soon...

trust me, i have grinded about 20hrs with bob in the FGT, put him into it at lv1 on a easy track, maby a couple of spin outs but he is fine :)

my FGT is my "B-Spec beater" lol you will be fine on Enduros. Just but the highest level Bob out first.

I have never Lost a enduro race to date! (using FGT)

This isn't necessary. The FGT will be in first on pretty much any track within at most half a lap, regardless of the driver. Just be warned that if you put a level zero driver in at the Daytona 500 and have pit strategy set at 10%, he'll be pitting after only 3 laps. I promptly turned pit strategy off and haven't had it on since.

Bob has almost 40,000 miles of trust in my FGT.

In fact, I have so much trust in Bob that I routinely send him out into the night, to drive through rain in the FGT which has no headlights or canopy.

Makes me laugh everytime I see him pushing 225 down a straight away without having ANY idea whats in front of him.

Put him in a X1 on a rainy day lol

Switch to cockpit view and you will scrach your head. i came to the conclusion that my BOB memorized all the tracks in dreamcar challenge, he dont need wiperblades in the rain

Cool effect in cockpit during rain, but you don't see **** :D

Bob was the old Stig....Polyphony hired him when he got identified.

The thing about un-managed Bobs is the fact that basic automatic pitting is gas dependent. You need to have tires which last for a tank of gas. This became an issue on Tsukuba (if I remember correctly) where I had to enforce the 10% rule to avoid balding my tires before the tank was empty (then Bob's just going to spin and crash for those rounds without grip, thus losing position). LeMans I use medium racing but soft would probably make it too.

Bob1 recovers during Bob2's stint....thus there is a sweet spot (at a high enough strength level) where BobX can drive until 10% and BobY will have recovered enough in that time to allow him to be useful driving until 10%...

That was kind of a messy description....the alternate scenario is that Bob recovers say 80% in his pause, then reaches 10% (20% faster, cos he's now only 80% at the start of his stint) leaving the other Bobs with 20% less time to recover....Rinse, repeat and you soon have a situation where they pit every lap because they can't recover even 10% in the time they have to pause.

Jeez...can anyone try to say that differently?

^^ happened to me before, but only with X1, I will never use that car for enduros again.

Bob drives the FGT better than I do. In the rain especially. I drove the FGT in the rain in the dream car championship for the first time. I was dead last for half the race due to constant spinning out. Finally got somewhat of a handle on it and managed to win. But I hated every second of it.

Simple. Turn off pit strength. Then Bob will drive until he needs fuel regardless of his strength. Viola.
