Can Bob get tired?

He drives like a man who hasn't slept in weeks, drinking Tim Horton's coffee to keep him awake...:scared:

It's comical watching him try to drive a 40,000HP hybrid, even more so then me trying to drive a 40kHP hybrid.

No, Bobs don't get tired in GT4. I know this 'cuz I recently did the Suzuka 1,000 KM, trading off with Bob, A-spec to B-spec. His lap times were more consistent than mine over the long run. He was slower than me, true, but there's never any of the slowing-down after 10 laps like we'd see in GT5. He kept his lines consistent and never showed any sense of tiring out.

This does sound comical to say the least. Is there a video around of this somewhere?

Not that I know of, but I could make one in the next few days. Plus I don't think many people have actually built a 40,000HP Hybrid and kept it, since it is almost impossible to drive, and sucks down fuel like nothing, think of adding a pit-stop per lap, and trying to overcome that deficit.

No, he doesn't show signs of becomming tired.

I think Bob's biggest problem is driving are that he needs the cars to be set for him, not you. If you take the time, and set a car so that he can drive it, you can actually increase his lap times. But it takes longer to set a car for him that it does for you.

He likes a conservative setup with driving aids set to the max. AKA no aggresive tuning, no super high spring rates etc.

Actually, according to my testing, the driving aids make no difference whatsoever to the B-Spec driver. It's true, though, that he needs a different setup (other than TCS/ASM) from what you may prefer, especially on tracks like Autumn Ring.

And no, he never gets tired.

Yes, a safe setup.

Not exactily. Its really quite varied.

It depends on what drivetrain, power, track and how aggressive you want him to be.

When I played I had my cars, and Bob's cars. Bob only had a hand full of cars, but they were each set for him, and specific tracks.

I would start out with a neutral set car and let him run 3 laps as a baseline for tuning. Why 3 laps? Well the first lap hes coming out of the pits. Then you get 2 good laps to see where things could be tweeked.

Then I would add power, run 3 more laps.

Tweek the gearing . . . 3 more laps

Tweek the suspension . . . 3 more laps

Tweek suspension again . . . 3 more laps . . .

It does take a long time to perfect a set up for him. It is also very challanging since you can't make adjustments off of feel, just observation.

Very true. I was gonna say, when my Bob drove the Suzuka 1,000 KM with me, I made sure I got us a nice, safe car to drive: Mazda RX-7 Sprit R Type A Or type A Spirit R. Type R Spirit A. :dunce: I always get that mixed up! Anyways, that's a great mid-range car for B-spec to drive for sure.
