Can GT Evolve to Dynamic Events

Okay, what do you guys think of this concept.

Kaz mentioned basically with today's technology that PD can develop a game that can be upgradable. Via patches and dlc yes we know of this, nothing new here right. With the PS consoles having such large and upgradable hard drives, there is loads of info that we can download outside of the game disk. Space that we will gladly fill up with extra content. With that said, what are the chances that racing events can be dynamic instead of static. If there will be monthly dlc tracks, I am not sure if they can be implemented into career mode. Being online only or arcade is not good enough for those of us that prefer more offline game play. Perhaps a patch can add dlc tracks to career mode but I am not sure. If a patch can not get dlc tracks to career mode events, a dynamic events system can. Better yet, how about a dynamic event system anyways for some of the Championship type events.

Kaz I hope you are reading this for the future. How about programming some of the events to randomly select tracks that can include dlc content as part of a pool of tracks/cars to make up an event. Program a set number of laps possible and an A.I. difficultly boost each time you replay that Championship. I remember GT4 had some Championships that had 8-10 tracks. GT5 shortened this if I am not mistaking. To keep immersion high, a dynamic system will add to replay valve as well. The system won't exactly be grinding because the situation changes up. The payouts can increase slightly as the A.I. level increases and they can award a different high end car. For example:

Extreme Hall - Dream Car Championship (first run in game)
Race 1 - Brands Hatch
Race 2 - Monza
Race 3 - Laguna Seca
Race 4 - Silverstone
Race 5 - Suzuka
Race 6 - Grand Valley
Race 7 - Mt. Panorama
Race 8 - Spa
Car Won - BMW Z4 GT3 11'

Extreme Hall - Dream Car Championship (second run in game - after dlc) +A.I. increase +25k
Race 1 - Monza
Race 2 - Silverstone
Race 3 - Mt. Panorama
Race 4 - El Captain
Race 5 - Midfield
Race 6 - Willow Springs
Race 7 - Tokyo R246
Race 8 - SSR 11
Car Won - Porsche 911 ( I know, I know Porsche is not in but its and example for dlc cars here)

Extreme Hall - Dream Car Championship (third run in game after more dlc) ++A.I. increase+50k
Race 1........etc (fill in 8 different tracks)
Car Won - Ferrari F50

Interesting idea. I really like the thought of playing the same championships with randomized track selections. Also, as for the prize cars, perhaps each championship would provide a random car of a specific monetary value or performance points. This would allow us to keep playing a specific championship over and over in order to win a specific car, that we wouldn't be able to afford at a specific moment, i.e., the $20,000,000 dollar cars.

Question is when do you stop filling peoples HDDs with essentially the same content in a different order? And how do you not alienate people that didn't buy a specific DLC?

What I'd prefer to see is the ability to "carry-over". Tracks & Cars & Awards & Standing & Cash from one GT to the next. I'm gonna miss a few the the tracks in GT5. Also gonna miss the fact my B-Spec drivers still had 60 mil in their accts.

The hard drive is only for dlc in which they won't repeat the same information. The dynamic part pulls from the disk and just adds from the hard drive in order to make the events. We don't know how many tracks and cars will be of charge but it won't alienate anyone either way. What ever is on your hard drive is what will be pooled with the disk data. The dynamic selection can be a small install program from the disk that sets this up. Or better yet, within the program, allow the user to load the selection of tracks to randomize from under each Championship being independent of one another. The more dlc you have, the more options available to you. Essentially everyone can have a different offline GT experience until you go online and manually setup events. The good thing about the dynamic is that it only saves one instance of an event until you complete it. Once you go in the next time, it ask to overwrite the event and it randomizes from there. Sort of like GT4 did with the special events. It allowed you to repeat the events, get the cash and the car but it reset your completion status.

Another option is to allow static event selection by an optional pull down menu. This way, if someone wanted to save their favorite tracks as a constant event, they can. This will allow them to change up the races themselves whenever they wanted to.

It's a good concept, but it could be implemented in a different way. Like better seasonal events. That, or an event generator.
The event generator is a great idea but that is pretty much the same thing as a dynamic in a way. A dynamic system is a more simplified version though. A generator would involve a lot more programming and randomizing such as the car field, laps, number of races. etc. A dynamic system would have the core be a constant but change out the most important aspects of the events. The tracks and cars. The A.I. and the payout could be easy to do I think. I am sure they can program tables that add a certain percentage for the increased incentives.

As far as seasonals, good idea here too but seansonals at the moment aren't events/championships. They are only one race events.

Can they? Yes.
Will they? I think we know the answer already.
As far as PD not doing it, I think its feasible. Not for GT6, yeah we know this but for GT7 and beyond. I am sure the PS4 with its speed and capabilities, they could pull it off if they wanted to. I feel that PD has a lot of making up to do for us. They need the wow factor to increase the fan base outside of their loyal crowd as it is. A dynamic/event generator hasn't been done. A race game that can involve the racer will make them feel more in control of what they play. This adds a whole other dimension to the game itself. Kinda of like Little Big Planet. You can setup your own boards. Thousands of possiblities. Give us the criteria needed and we can fill in the blanks. If they can do a coarse maker, they can do this.

I think as @HuskyGT says, the options are there for the new seasonal events. Or if they ever implement it an Event Creator. I think it's pretty unlikely that they would change any of the career elements in a patch, unless there was major bugs that needed fixing.

This kind of thing could only be implemented with much more varied and frequent seasonals, with championships included. But I think most people would rather just have an event creator, because essentially PD are using such a tool to create the Seasonals, why not just let us do that ourselves, offline, even if it's only in arcade mode. The functionality is so close, but I just think PD is perhaps a bit reluctant to do this, it seems almost like the livery editor situation, anything that loses them some semblance of control over things is perhaps putting them off. And by control I mean setting of events, and creating numerous cars of the same type with just different liveries to simply pad the car count.

Hmm. I wasn't aware that Seasonal events had those options. I ditched GT5 after 3 weeks of playing daily. I attempted to play 2-3 times after that though. I have yet to download 1 piece of dlc for GT5 because I have not inserted GT5 in at least a year or more. I pretty much boycotted it, lol.

Spa and Motegi - GT5 paid DLC tracks - were featured on occasion in Time Trials and races in the seasonal events, AND people who didn't have those tracks could still compete.
