Can I run GT7 on PS4 and PS5 simultaneously?

Basically, I want to run an alternate account on my PS4 to play with a friend in daily races because of the segregated lobbies as he only has a PS4. I own both versions digitally, so is it just a matter of downloading the PS4 version and logging into my alt and play?

My main concern is will there be any affect on my main PS5 account? I'd be using 2 different consoles, and only playing the PS4 on the alternate account.

Edit for clarity - I don't want to play the game on 2 consoles at the same time, I just want to be able to play the PS4 version using an alternate account in daily races with a friend who has the PS4 version.

No, you can use both consoles interchangeably.

However, each time you swap the console, there will be a short "logging in", with the game terminating the connection to the previous console.

Basically you cannot have same account on two platforms at same time.
You can have primary on one platform and alt account on the second at same time though.

Yeah, I have alts on my PS5 and just wanted to use one of them on the PS4 so I could enter dailies with my PS4 friend.

You can not
- have the same account play any game on 2 different consoles at the same time (not what you intended to do)

You can

• have your PS5 set to primary console and have any account use your games and PS+
• have your PS4 also set to primary console and do just the same as above

With that setup, the answer is "yes, it is possible".

Or I suppose I could download the PS4 version onto my PS5 and just load up the PS4 version with my alt when I want to do dailies with my friend. Going to try that first. Easier than switching consoles whenever we want to play.
