Can ingame videos be made streaming instead of downloading?

  1. 1GB+ updates are ludicrous
  2. Load times are getting pretty long
  3. GT6 already requires more space than some PS3s are sold with.
  4. I really don't want to buy 2 more SSDs for reasonable load times
  5. Video will be viewed once, if that.
The same things that make a good race car are the things you should be striving for, sleek, lightweight and fully functional.

Let's be honest for a second; If it was a stream, especially after the update launches, it would most likely create a wormhole into a hell dimension where everything buffers and never stops buffering because all that exists is buffering and more buffering and... ... ...

But yeah, Kaz probably realises this so he wants it to be smooth without interruptions.

It might help if Sony let them host the video's on a super fast server that can hold a lot of activity.

But even then, these are big HD files that you're streaming, some people just don't have the internet to handle that.

I think most players that don't have a high speed Internet connection would probably skip downloading videos if given the choice. I'm still on v1.00 because I refuse to update. Maybe I'll buy the Greatest Hits XL edition.

One of the most stupid decisions PD has ever made, forcing everyone to download huge video files in what is supposed to be a game update. 👎

Possible solutions:

1) Make them optional; provide 2 downloads, one with videos & one without.

2) Have an in-game link that redirects to the PS3's You Tube app & the video in question.

3) Stream them in-game with several different quality options to cater to our differing bandwidths.

4) Stop making videos & concentrate on making a decent game in the first place! :P
