can we push Polyphony Digitial into adding new racing cars

There used to be a 'Feedback' tab here on GT. Here is a news item on it:

Like I said, they do what they like. Sometimes by coincidence it may match up with requests but more often than not, they miss the mark.

That last line is pretty good evidence that you're just overly negative. You claim that they don't add anything the people here have been asking for and then dismiss anything they did add as a "coincidence". You make it sound like everything they add should come straight from the feedback forum. Do you think that maybe they had ideas about things that they thought would make great additions to the game that maybe we here didn't think of like Ascari or the 1984 GTO.

They added a pretty good number of things that people on here had been asking for and might have added more that we wont know about until launch. Either way there is allot of cool new content coming but instead of being excited to try new things you'd rather just complain about not having full control over what goes into the game.

Why do people believe that because a (this week Moon Buggy) certain car they personally don't care for is in the game it means the car they want most isn't?

Licensing issues.
Access to a car so it can be scanned.
And Kaz caring about that car.

That's what stops your personal favorite appearing not a Moon Buggy!!

hey guys I appologise if I have upset anyone with this post all I wanted to try was to get some help to send Polyphony Digital about adding some open wheel race cars like Formula Fords F3000 etc... to increase the driving expirence on Gran Turismo ive had the privilege to race a Formula Ford and drove an F3000 both incredible cars to drive no driver aids etc... ive been playing Gran Turismo pretty much my whole life and I still play them al from time to time I do love P.D work into the series. again im sory if I got on anyones nerves

But that doesn't excuse some important omissions.

Toyota Supra MkIV:
It's pretty easy to license.
It's pretty common.
I don't care what Kaz thinks about it, it's a major staple of the import tunning scene and the overall automotive culture so he has to deal with it.

Actually you have to deal with it as you buy the game he makes not the other way around.

More racing cars would be cool (I would love to see V8 Supercars in GT6), however, PD must contribute to the needs of everyone by balancing the amount of cars per group (racing, super car, classic, etc). Not everyone enjoys race cars but instead love street cars. Others are the opposite. I personally like both race cars and street cars. In my opinion, the amount of good street cars and race cars being added is really good. I can't wait for December 6!!!

just one more reason to go the RM route...you get your road cars...then the "RM" gives those of us that like race cars...and the modeling is just like modeling a complete body kit and roll cage...you can get away with a pretty generic interior...

best of both worlds really...

Gran Turismo would not be the same without its road cars. The variety on the list helps set it apart. However, that being said, race-cars should be included in decent numbers because, after all, it's a game centered on racetracks which are the race-car's domain. I feel GT6 is currently lacking at least a few good race-cars that should be added for a better sense of completion.

@Samus You're forgetting a lot of the things that they clearly are doing as a result of fan feedback. A lot of people on here have complained about a general bias towards Japanese cars being included. Have you seen how many of the new cars in the list for GT6 are European or American? I count well over 80.

Several tracks and cars that this community has wished for, have been included. Of course they won't/can't include them all. Be realistic... They've stated that sounds and AI, two of the biggest complaints about GT5, are being worked on. Same goes for the course creator, which, based on the little we know, is looking mighty promising. The car paint system has been changed as a direct result of our feedback. Overall, there are a lot of changes in GT6 that this community has been asking for. To complain about the fact that not all the things that we want have been included, just comes off as being self-entitled. No offence.

PD is far from perfect, but they have most definately listened to the feedback from GT5.

There are already far more racing cars than I'm interested in in the game. But that's what people asked for, and I guess I didn't make my voice heard. I'm not going to go into whether that's fair, broken democracy etc., because, well, it's not a democracy - I don't think it even should be in this case.

PD can clearly never win on this front; having slightly eccentric / unusual taste in cars probably means I'll never truly get what I want from the game, but I accept that I have to share it with others. And it's not about being complacent with "whatever scraps PD choose to throw our way", as I've seen written before, it's just the harsh reality of our finite existence.

I'm not really interested in having so many race cars. And if you think about it, taking away all of the road car dupes we do have a lot of race cars.

can we push Polyphony Digitial into adding new racing cars
Yes we could.

If lot of us don't buy the game, they'll suerly care about sales figures, but we have to be millions.
You could make a sort of petition thread where unhappy users spontaneously write something like "I'm not going to buy the game because X Y reason". You need quite a bit of organization and people agreeing with this idea though.
