I've just finished working but I've stopped off in a pub so I don't think I'll be online early enough to catch tonight's cappy racing.

I'll be doing some late night drink-driving in a while. Only virtually of course.

Edit: I was taking a guess that somebody else would be hosting. If the night is postponed anyway then I'm not even missing anything & don't feel rude for going to the pub instead of the track.

Hi fellows, I am thinking about using the days off in the cappuccino and M series (today and tomorrow) to hold casual races and mini-series I have been curious to try for a while now.

I would like to host a Mx-5 / Miata / Eunos roadster mini-series consisting of 5 sprint races and 1 mini-enduro race.
3 races will be run with the NA, while each one of the remaining 3 will be run respectively in the NB, NC and TC.

For NA models I recommend using one of the following models:

Mazda MX-5 (NA) '89
Mazda MX-5 Miata (NA) '89
Mazda MX-5 J-Limited (NA, J) '91
Mazda MX-5 Miata J-Limited (NA, J) '91
Mazda MX-5 J-Limited II (NA, J) '93
Mazda MX-5 Miata J-Limited II (NA, J) '93
Mazda MX-5 V-Special Type II (NA, J) '93
Mazda MX-5 Miata V-Special Type II (NA, J) '93
Mazda MX-5 S-Special Type I (NA, J) '95
Mazda MX-5 Miata S-Special Type I (NA, J) '95
Mazda MX-5 VR-Limited (NA, J) '95
Mazda MX-5 Miata VR-Limited (NA, J) '95
Mazda MX-5 SR-Limited (NA, J) '97
Mazda MX-5 Miata SR-Limited (NA, J) '97

as they come with distinctive liveries once repainted.

The NAs will be limited to 400PP on CM tires, with a minimum weight of 950kg.
Mandatory std. brakes and 5-speed fixed transmission.
All other tuning parts allowed except turbos and SC.
Nos will be forbidden in the 2 first races but will be ALLOWED in the third while the tire compound will be raised to CS.

The NBs will be limited to 430PP on SH tires, following the rules of our unofficial Touge union.
No further tuning restrictions will apply to the NBs.

The NCs will be run at a maximum of 235hp for a mandatory 940 kg car weight on SS tires.
turbo/SC and Nos ban will be restored for this race. These regulations are actually from the Japanese enduro series Super Taikyu.

The last race featuring the Roadster Touring Car will be limited at 500PP on RH tires. Nos will be forbidden for this race. It will be a bit longer and might include some tire management/strategy.

We will run the NAs at
Toscana- 5 laps
Trial Mountain Reverse - 5 laps with Nos on CS tires
Nordschleife - 1 lap

The NBs race will take place at Bathurst for 3 laps, and the NCs will race at Matterhorn Rotenboden for 5 laps.

The TC mini-enduro race venue will be Autumn Ring. After a 5-minute qualifying round, the race itself will last for 40 minutes with very fast tire wear and fuel consumption.

Would anyone be interested by taking part in this kind of event? Would you be available maybe to run tests or even race tonight and tomorrow night? Please let me know, cheers...

NA, NB & NC are the different versions of the mx-5/Miata/roadster released by Mazda through the years.
NA from 1989 to 1997, NB from 1998 to 2004 and NC since 2007.

Ensign Smiley has been trapped inside a sub-space anomaly for several weeks and the crew has offered their opinions on how to get him back.

Morale Officer If has suggested we direct a triangulated tachyon beam from the main deflector to create a warp core field that will reverse the particle dense of the dilithium matrix inside the Cappuccino.

I believe gravitational interference will reduce our chances to succeed by 75%.


Bummer there was no Capps today. I had such a great new color scheme too. Instead I went out for dinner when I saw Smiley's message and am now watching Star Trek Voyager episodes. Once a nerd..
