Probably the most enjoyable race meet I've been a part of in terms of company and the battles on track.
Very nice. 👍

Bliss :)

We should get some guys together to run it forward to the end of the lap and turn around just when we usually make the final right turn to the finish line and circle to the left and start back the way we came. The guys who have already turned around stay to the right on the way back while we slower guys still heading to the turnaround point also stay to the right just like a regular country road. Once everybody is safely going backwards on the lap, the full course width is open again.

To finish, we could turn around again and run the "road" a third time going the correct direction to the finish line. Basically a 3 "lap" run for fun just to see what happens. I'd love to watch a video of the turnarounds. Could be very funny.

Hardest part would be deciding which cars to try it with.

I'm too curious now. Just turned the PS3 back on and am going to see what the turnaround spots would be like and how much time is it going to take. I love doing that in real life in the Santa Monica Mts behind Malibu where you have many road choices to either do a loop or "up and back" on the same roads.

I could see doing that on Sierra too.

I'm onboard with this highly original idea, Wheeler. 👍

You should start your own Club in the Community.. "WheelerTurner's Turn Around Club".
Where all of the races are set up this way. :mischievous:

I would think this idea works better at the Nordschleife than Sierra because of how the Nord's long straight would
allow everyone to safely meet the oncoming traffic without any danger.
Sierra would almost certainly see collisions after the turn around.

But trying both tracks would be real interesting.

I would be willing to set up a Z8 race this way if there are no other takers.

Way to think outside the box, Wheeler! 👍

I would love to try something like that, but I am still a cursed NAT 3 and hosting would probably not work out well.
Maybe it's time to finally move on up to something faster than the basic EarthLink we have had since we first got a computer many years ago. I'm always spending so much on my real cars that I have not pushed for that with Bonnie. She has what is, in essence, a 68 year old kid and as a button on Alice Cooper's dash says: "I may be getting older, but I refuse to grow up."

I agree that Sierra would cause some serious mayhem, but Nurby would be easy. There is probably a good turnaround point on Sierra somewhere way short of the full forward lap and I might as well see if I can find it. I also have a dirt track layout on Big Willow with jumps that uses the main straightaway as the lap counter, but all else is on dirt.

Z8's would be good test cars for Nurb. and Sierra. I have also run the Dirty Willow with my Z8 already. If only I could use my 200+ GT5 Course Creator tracks in GT6........Now those were fun.

Thanks it was fun. It felt bit weird at first as I have mostly driven Slippery Z8 and Comfort tires recently. But some close and clean racing there 👍 Excluding the last race :dopey: my brain went to sleep and I got a "Restart Penalty" or something for cutting... Somehow ended up going to Indy route... First time I ever saw such penalty and did not know what it meant but did a stop and go just in case...

See you tomorrow, I think I will take the Z8, though ;)

Something came up, I am gonna miss it after all... :banghead: Have to wake up early next morning :indiff:

Happy Holidays and Great Yeat 2015 to everyone!:gtplanet:
