Dont you guys think the capri rally ruins the fun of having to "save up money" to buy a cool new part, or to buy a nice new car? I thought it just ruined it, because I have done it like, 5 times when i did it the first time, and I bought all these cool cars, but I just dont feel like racing them for some reason. I feel it totally ruined it.

No, It's better than having to do the same race over and over to get 600 cr. each time. That makes the game dull & repetitive...

But I can see your point. Easy money can take the challenge out of it, and you take the cars you buy for granted.

There's nothing forcing you to take the easy way though. You can always excercise a little restraint?

👍 :scared: well to be honest i actually do the dtm races alot because it makes good money but i race them with a non tuned audi tt dtm car so it still is a challenge but like the race called 1000 miles its just not fun anymore cause you race it with a non tuned before 70's car and what do you get as prize car?? a alfa romeo or something so yeah i like to do the races that are difficult but there has to be a good prize car also and if there is not ..... ill just do the goodmoneynondifficultlameass races ...

It didn't ruin it for me at all, simply because I choose not to abuse it. I can think of far better ways to waste my time than simply grinding the same 2 two-lap races over and over to amass all the credits I would ever need. I do like driving the Amalfi course, but not THAT much.

I also found that the money spinners made the game a bit easy. In GT3 I had to work harder for the cars I wanted, and I thought that was better. On the other hand, I got to about 45% on GT3 and stopped there, whereas I finished GT4 (b-spec also helped), golded all licenses, and still have tons of fun on it, so on that evidence, GT4 is the better format.

I'd think the game would be more challenging if the prize money was higher and they got rid of the prize cars altogether, so if there was a car you really, really wanted, and it was expensive, you'd have to work for it. Doing the same races over and over again doesn't have to be repetitive if its challenging. I used to race the same 16 circuits in Grand Prix 2 over and over again, against the same opponents, and never got bored, but a 2 lap race is a bit different.

Yeah, if you've used the cash cow events, and suddenly find the challenge is gone, I can understand that. It's been said that you don't HAVE to abuse it, but that doesn't really help because you don't know if its going to make you bored of the game until you've done it.

I think Polyphony just has to spend a little more time on working out a reward schedule that allows you to buy most of what you want without having to repeat races. Ideally there would be some sort of system like in DTM Race Driver, with seasons and one-offs, but the seasons should be repeatable (not right after one another though, of course).

It's one of the few things i really dislike about GT, just being able to repeat the same race over and over again, combined with the rather dimwitted AI this makes for a very low challenge.

One thing I'd like to see them to bring into the next game would be limited of selecting of prize cars, like "congratulations, you won the race, you'll get a prize car, please pick a colour of your liking" to stop the stupidity of racing a race twenty times to get the desired colour.

I do it, I find that it helps, even when I went on a rampage and amassed nearly 1 million credits. I don't really use it much, I'm a "hoarder", and only bought what I needed among others most of the time. Whatever new cars I bought, I did research and plan to use all of them.

You all have good points. And Even with it, like you said, if you dont abuse it to much, it will still be a challange. Currently i do it, twice a week. Just because I'm trying to do all these rally's and I feel I need a new car for each one :) Just because how I am. I mostly run my R-34N1 though. But it really doesent work to well for Snow or Dirt.

Only if you race any of the races except hard, or bring in a much better car than your opponent

its fun though when you try to beat the Peugot 205 in a under-powered car on Sport tires, 5 laps of "cat & mouse" racing does a driver good 👍

i don't think you have to use the money cheat. i am at about 95% and not used any money cheat option.

all you need to do is at least b, a, ib, ia licences bronze will do. go to driving missions 1-10 21-24 and any others you can do. now go to special conditions and use your nismo to win the cien and the rally raid. then use these two cars to complete other special conditions. when it becomes a bit to hard go to the garage and pick out another good hp car to complete the other special conds. then use prize cars to do races you can. once 25% comes up do the enduro that gets the minolta, then with minolta do the 3 24hr races. with these four races you have almost amassed 4mil in credits alone. then you can really start on the other races with the have to purchases. Without having to sell a single car.
