Saab's 1959 experimental 93 "Monster", utilizing two of the standard 93's two-stroke triples connected via a bevel drive to the standard gearbox. The bevel drive is said to have used straight-cut gears, so that howl must have been deafening.
 
Found the picture it was at a local car show too not in Detroit.

Haven’t seen it recently though, last time I saw it was in 2013 lol.
Looks like the same one, and that year tracks with the last time I saw anything new regarding it. I'm given to understand it was a home-built job.

1949 Saab 92
I love the styling of this car. Very streamlined and you can definitely see the inspiration from Tatra.

Looks like the Ursaab, not a 92.

Edit: Since the Ursaab was effectively a concept car, in that it was revealed to the public instead of kept as an in-house prototype, I'll keep things moving with another Saab concept:
