WARNING: NOT PERFECT
Drew a blobeye WRX.

(sorry, crap pic.)

Was looking at this thread yesterday and decided to draw this side profile of some weird VGT concept that started off looking cool and ended up looking like a ludicrous mashup of a bunch of different cars. No wheels because I can't draw wheels.

Hey guys. I suck at coloring, and I wonder if anyone can color a drawing for me? (I will add here a .jpg file of the drawing and of course a reference photo to what color and stuff I want it to be in.)

Feel free to make it look better too, it has some rough edges.
And let me know if you can do it, and I'll send the .psd file

And as you can see, it is a bit "cartoony". :D

Yup. The 412 from Electroma (and subsequently Human After all as its pretty much a cut down Electroma)

End of my daft punkery... For now

Been following this thread for a bit, any tips for a amateur drawer like me?

I tend to have shakey lines and can't get dimensions right, any tips on how to fix those? And on how to start drawing cars properly.

My father has a book on drawing cars but that is lost in a pile I need to sift through, so I got book material covered.

To all of you who want to learn how to draw. Read or watch the Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain by Betty Edwards. I was a professional traditional animator back then when I studied it because I was having problems about the inconsistency of my drawings. Animation in general specially traditional animation demands very consistent drawings. After studying it fully I have cured my problem and became a better artist. It will not teach you how to draw things but it will teach you how to use and utilize the creative side of your brain (Right Brain) to draw. You'll be amazed how different it is to draw logically (Left Brain) and creatively. A warning though. This book will try to unlock your creative side. This might affect "how you think". Here's the link. http://www.drawright.com/ Study it. Be patient.

Practice drawing straight lines, vertical and horizontal in one swoop. No stop-and-correcting. That's a bad habit of people who lack confidence in themselves. Draw with your arm, not your wrist. When you think about the mechanics of your wrist, if the arm doesn't move, the only way your hand will draw a line of any length is to rotate your wrist... and rotating in of itself is not a good way to get something straight. What you want to do is keep your wrist still and use your entire arm to move, like a computerized machine that moves in only on an X/Y axis. If it helps, use your entire upper torso in combination with your arm if you're doing long lines.

Once you got down, practice controlled curves. You can practice by trying to draw a car with curves. Again, try to keep it to your arm only. Best if you can keep up that habit. Personally, if the turn of my wrist can draw out a specific curve accurately, I'll make an exception for that rule.

One other biggie when drawing cars: drawing ellipses. Practice drawing circles, ellipses, no matter what. They are hella hard to keep consistent if you don't practice, and any car drawing turns to poop if those ellipses aren't convincing. It alone separates amateurs from the pros, regardless of how well-rendered the drawing may be.

Perspective... that's one you should know. Learning the science of it will help you understand why things look the way they do foreshortened, but to me, you need to have a knack for knowing how much to foreshorten to create the illusion of depth. I still struggle at this myself with certain angles. Look up car photos in all sorts of interesting angles and examine how perspective alters the appearance of the body. Try drawing that car. Try a different photo after until you start getting the hang of it.

Hey guys, i haven't posted or draw anything in a long time, but here's what i've done. These pics are pretty old, so i apologize for the non-landscape pics. I've started to foray into shading, and it's been hit or miss in a cartoony style. Welp, here they are:
