Is it my imagination or in the last lap in career mode the car leader slowing down?
That is happen in three race which i was several seconds behide and in the last lap i catch the following cars.

If that happen then it isn't a race, too pretty for the GT6!!!!

I've seen a thread(or post) about this but not sure where. By what I've seen yes..the slow down the last lap if your behind them. In my experience, if I jump ahead they will become more aggressive. Kind of makes sense though, why go balls to the wall and run the risk of messing up if your already in the lead?

that's true. i noticed that when i was chasing 2J at Silverstone on the last race of Historic Racing Car Cup. and i was driving 15th Anniversary Cobra Daytona. 2J got ten seconds lead, then slowed down. when i got first on the start of the third lap 2J went mental and it was real ass to keep it behind for the two last laps :D

Do an amazing first lap and the Ai goes faster. Do a slower first lap tjen turn on the speed to reel in the runners. .

AI cars adapt their pace to yours and accelerate when you overtake the leader.
Somehow, it allows to keep some pressure until the end of the race... but it is the kind of AI management that I expect in Mario Kart more than in Gran Turismo series...

i agree with you

I personally think this game's true potential is online. The A.I. have provided very little challenge since my start, and I'm in early National A. Gt5 had a few hard ones, but it suffered the same problems. I chose a severely underpowered car just to see if it would be more fun, and I still had about three seconds on them by the end. If If I'm using the maximum of what I'm allowed, it becomes Gt6, the real driving simulator.

I'm pleased its not just me. I honestly thought I was going mad. I messed around with it a bit by running a much slower car or sitting behind all the other cars until the last lap and they always slow right down and I fly past them. This is on top of the fact that the other cars in the race hardly ever change position. It's like a constant parade lap. Seriously what is the point in that.

I really can't get over just how bad this game is. I'm in my mid 30's and have played the GT series since the beginning and loved them all until now.

It feels more like 'Race Driver Grid' or 'Project Gotham Racing' that an instalment of Gran Turismo. It seems to me like PD and Sony are only interested in attracting younger people with little racing genre experience than real driving game fans.

I agree i keep playing to try and like it more and think maybe its needing a patch and some hot fixes however i fear its more than that.

AI are worse than bob and only once have i seen one defend his position and i think it was a glitch as he side swiped me into the wall (Dirty Racing)

Glad I am not the only one who has experienced this!
It looks like a boost function from the online GT5 game. It feels like cheating when you catch up on the last lap.
That does not hold true to the GT series nor does it make it realistic.

Really they need to do away with rolling starts the car leader is 10 second ahead before the race even begins. Then i have noticed the lap leader slowing down on the final lap, significantly.
