The GTS is the hard top, not GTB
The F355 was initially released in the form of the F355 Berlinetta (ie coupe) and F355 GTS (targa top), with the F355 Spyder (soft top convertible) coming later in the model's life cycle. Ferrari didn't use the GTB (Gran Turismo Berlinetta) nomenclature with the F355, but it's easy to assume that anyone using that term is obviously referring to the Berlinetta.

Now Google "Ferrari F355 GTS" and be amazed by how many targas come up. GTS has been the common designation for Targas since the 308. As someone else said, they don't tend to use the GTB designation so much now, but that always typically referred to hardtops.

That makes sense - I was sure I hadn't seen the GTB badge on a 355 but all makes sense with regards to GTB being the acronym for Berlinetta.

Surprising how few manual Berlinettas there are around (in Australia anyway). Would love to have one in the garage some day...
