Car Spotting Scavenger Hunt Redux. Round Nine on now!!!!!!

How are ties broken, anyways? By who submitted first?

I don't know. I haven't really figured it out yet. We just need to figure out if that Ram is lifted or not because it looks stock to me but I don't know for sure.

I agree, judging from this picture:
dodge-ram-1500-quad-cab-4x4-slt-plus-sport-photo-41473-s-1280x782.jpg

it looks stock with bigger tires.

Wait-wait-wait. The bonus car can count multiple times if two or more are spotted?
In this case, I have another G-Wagen here, spotted the same day as the silver one.

Anyway, probably too late. But I'd post it if I knew that rule.

Up to three bonus cars. I could have sat around and and snapped G Wagons all week.

Yes, but you still won. Please post the new categories.

1. One turbine is good, but two are better! Any car twin-turbocharged from the factory.
2. RennSport. Any RS car (having "RS" in its name).
3. Locked 'n loaded! Military vehicle. Army jeeps, trucks, or vehicles of paramilitary police forces (SWAT, riot police, etc) will count. Vehicles owned by civilians count, too, but only exact same models as used by the military.
4. The real racing layout. Mid-engine car. Extra point if it costs $50k or more.
5. Power of the Silver Arrow. Most powerful Mercedes, measured by HP. Factory power counts.
Bonus car: Porsche Panamera.

Seems ok to everyone?

They are good with me. I should have #3 before I get home from school today.

Bonus is going to be easy. is #3 fine if it's a military base or do I need to spot it in the road? The RS is probably the hardest one of them, no idea what I'll do there.

Technically, military base is not a dealership or an event, but it would be better if you spot one on a road. Is there a chance?

It's pretty hard and if I did it would be a group Of ten getting moved like I saw last week but I'll try

Living in a crime-free suburb of Houston, there is no chance of me getting #3.
I'm currently winning #5 though, unless @Doog finds another SLS.

Maybe some Mercedes people can fill me in on the power numbers for one of these?

Just be careful. You don't want to get shot at or arrested for taking pictures of a military base.

493hp if it is an SL55, 518hp if it is an SL63.

I don't think I've seen that bumper on an SL... It may even be the base v8 model. I'll do some research.

I should be able to get all of those :D

For the mid-engined car, I assume we are going on it's listed new price? There's plenty of old boxsters around here.

Do single turboed cars count for the turboed one?
I don't know, do single turbo cars mean twin turbo?

From what I can tell, this is a base SL550, from what I have found. After looking at 12 pictures, this sells it for me.

Notice the front bumper, single fin paint matching grille, 5-double spoked rims, and no badge above the side vent. Basically the same as what you saw, but in convertible form.

@motortrend You didn't even give anyone a chance... come on

Well, I did see an SLR at a car show on Saturday... I doubt it gets driven anywhere though.
And... apparently I only have the twin turbo car now, the CL63 AMG.

Yeah I see the only (as far as I know) SLR on the island from time to time since it's either at the Benz dealership or at shows but I've never even seen a picture of it in the wild.

I think it's more fair to count the today's used car market price if the car is out of production, and count the price of the new one if it's still produced.
The $50k extra point was added to make people avoid MR-2's and old Boxsters if possible.
