Car Testing

I'm testing cars in GT5 Prologue. Why? Because the driving should be more than just winning.
NOTE: all cars are run with manuals, S2 tires, and all aids shut off.
Here's my tests:
0-60: very inaccurate but my eyesight, mind, and cell phone work good enough.
Handling: the handling test will be a full lap of the Suzuka Circuit in cockpit view.
Chassis: this test uses the entire Suzuka backstretch, in which I swerve the car back and forthe untill reaching the next turn.
Power: bases on how fast I can run the Suzuka Course.
Engine: more of an engine noise test, I take a car for a full Suzuka lap in highest gear
Styling: explains itself
To start, I picked a yellow Daihatsu Copen and here's what I felt
0-60: well for a car with 63hp, I expected somewhere north of 10 seconds. Got to about 11.5 seconds. That's poor.
Handling: very go-kart-esque, with beautiful turning in all gears and corners.
With a stronger engine, it would have the handling of a Fiesta.
Chassis: never spun, although it doesn't like it, as it refuses to keep back-and-forth movements about half of the way down the stretch.
Heard lots of chirps from the tires, though, which meant that they did thier job.
Power: ran about a 3'15:400, nothing spectacular, but nonetheless a fun lap.
Engine: throaty in the middle, coarse when very low, whiny in high gearing, but you could definitely hear the torque from the little 3-banger.
Styling: after watching the screen saver camera twirl around, I adore the cars cuteness (see? even straight guys think it's cute), with its perky smile and the big, beady headlights, too the smallness. Convertible makes it better, one of the few cars I like to see with the top off.
Overall: the world's cutest little go-kart since the New Beetle was introduced.

In my fit of rage I had last night, I needed some thing that would calm me down.
Now my next test will be for the BMW Z4.
NOTE: I will also be rating the transmission.
0-60: about 5.9 seconds, very good for this car.
Handling: okay, but unexceptional from BMW. For a group that makes brilliant 3-series handling, this was way off from what was expected.
Chassis: very good with this test, no problems, no hint that I'll spin.
Power: 2'41:880, means this car can very well move out of the corners quickly.
Engine: well the first thing you notice is the Turbo's distinctive wirr-ing sound, but if you listen closely, you'll hear the world's best sounding Inline-6. Never coarse, sounds like a rumbly V8 almost.
Transmission: for such a car, it needs more than a 5-speed. Even a Suzuki Cervo has a 7-speed. Had some problems downshifting, as if I were in 3rd, shifting to second, I might go ka-thunk and into 1st.
Styling: agressive, nice roadster design, although the grill doesn't look right, not used to the shinyness of the grill. More used to the darkness of other BMW grilles.
Overall: beautiful roadster with an amazing engine, but can't make up it's ground in the esses.

It would be nice if you could compare your 0-60 times to it's real life counterpart.

Great idea man, but maybe you should use N2 tires? It would give you a more realistic 0-60 time, and more realistic handling.

No offence, but you don't seem to know much of what you are talking about.

Laptimes of Suzuka are not a great indicator of a cars power, the tricky esses show up heavy cars with poor handling. You may notice how a car with a lot more power, say the Viper, will be beaten by lighter better handling cars with less power around Suzuka.

If you want to test power, I would take time measurements of how long it takes a car, to travel down Fuji's exceptionally long start straight. Or better yet, just look at the cars power figure. Power is just a measurement, which helps give us an idea of a cars top speed and acceleration characteristics.

Yeah I know the power isn't accurate I was tired and had to think of something. Plus the cars I tested arent really that powerful....yet.
And I think the turbo is a weird glitch, as it has the power of the naturally aspirated, (240hp) but there is definitely a turbo wirr thats pretty dominant in the engine noise.
And I probably will switch to lower-spec tires, so I've got some ideas to make this better. Criticism is a writer's best friend. If you have any other suggestions, errors, or just have something to say, feel free.
