Career Progression?

Im trying to figure out what the parameters are for completing each driving discipline in career mode. Is it a certain point number, or do you have to finish in the top 5 of all drivers. Maybe I'm just missing something obvious but I haven't been able to figure out the specific target for progressing. Thanks

I'm not sure either, but at a guess is it you have to finish in the top 3 of the championship to be able to progress to the next champ/tier? I think that's how PCARS1 worked.

Podium would be the most likely. Bronze, Silver or Gold.
