Do you know if you've gotten rid of all the mold? Is that wire bundle for the alarm?

You should also move this thread to the Member's Ride area.

Yeah, pretty much. Once I removed the carpet from the rear shelf of the red one the smell completely disappeared, the smell you smelt. I'm still gonna pull the dash and wipe down with bleach or vinegar all the HVAC tubing as well as every other surface I can reach. The carpet is pretty much the culprit though, I'm gonna pull off padding that is glued underneath and toss that then clean the **** out of the carpet and that should do it. I may even take it to a carwash and just blast the heck out of it, if it passes the smell test I'll cut some new padding and put it back in. It should, if not I'll pitch it and find some more, plenty of Miatas around being parted out. Two of the seats are definitely getting replaced, the two that were in the silver one, as well as both the seat belts from it. Actually now that I think of it I may just keep the silver one stripped for the most part, time will tell. I was pretty worried at first about it all but after getting in there it's not too bad. 👍

Yeah it's from what I believe was an old alarm, intimidating at first but it came out easy.

Can I?

I'd really like to do something like below to the silver one but am reluctant to get rid of the heater all together, the heater core and it's assembly sits directly in the middle up against the firewall.

It's gotta be done right though, if not it just looks like crap.

No matter what kind of noises the engine makes, that will probably go on for another 500k miles yet . Looks good, I especially like the beach shot. Surf wagon? :sly:

Love it 👍
What engine is in it??

Thanks! I think it has the B23, aside from not sounding the best it runs pretty good and is good on oil even with a small leak.

The odometer is broken so I'll never know! And kayak wagon yes, surf wagon maybe. :)

That's more similar to mine than it looked in the pic you posted a week or so ago. I prefer your spoiler to mine though. The red interior is neat too - similar to the Eunos S-Limited, though that came with gold RZs rather than the silver ones like both our cars have.
