Are you looking for regular racing that is clean, fair and throughout everything fun for all?

We don't aim at serious racing and even our monthly endurance races aren't taken too seriously. The aim of our racing is to be fair but enjoyable for all ability levels and we use systems to balance out the abilities such as; success ballast and an experimental Push-To-Pass system using Nitro in designated areas on circuits. The Push-To-Pass system worked very well and made a very fun and close night's of racing.

CCR uses realistic lobby settings making it a simulation style lobby. We do not do drag, drift or any of that nonsense, only proper racing for people who enjoy real racing.

We race on Monday's and Wednesday's in a multitude of cars that change weekly, from the little Lupo Cup Cars all the way up to Le Mans Prototypes. Monday's are our casual racing nights where it is normally One-Make racing on 4 or 5 different tracks. Wednesday's are our feature night where we host our Endurance Races and Championships.

All lobbies open at 21:00 BST (currently GMT too). Main races start around 22:00, some will start earlier however.

Things CCR offer
s
  • Clean and Fair Racing
  • Racing for a mixture of abilities
  • A mixture of Nationalities and no discrimination
  • Lively and chatty lobbies where conversation is encouraged
  • Casual Championships with performance balancing
  • Up to 90 Minute Endurance Races
Most races are no longer than 20 minutes long, however some run up to 40 minutes depending on the cars we are using or if they are in championships. Other races, such as the endurances, are up to 90 minutes long but normally are around 60.

If you might be interested in CCR then register on our site. Registration is free and simple. Here is the link to our site: www.ccrforums.boards.net

If you wish to try us out before joining then please send a friend request to - CorsairBadger - on PSN stating that you want to try out CCR in the message. We will send details of the upcoming Monday Night event for you. We will also send you a message on the night of lobby opening.

If you are looking for some clean and competitive racing regardless of ability, with some friendly banter thrown in, then take a look at CCR, I have been racing with these guys for nearly a year and have thoroughly enjoyed it.

Very Highly Recommended.

Friday night will now become a set of Casual Races hosted by CCR but advertised on GT Planet ran every week in an aim to boost popularity of CCR and to try to gain new members from both GT Planet and the general public. On these nights races will be kept very simple and have an 'easy to race' aspect to them. If you are looking for simple and easy to race races with a friendly community then we welcome you to try us out! Even if you only want to race for half an hour, we welcome you to come along!

We will be racing most Friday nights and changing events up here and there to what might be popular. We will try to get as many CCR members involved as possible so you can all get a taste of what we are about and who you will regularly race against.

First up will be a two week run GT300 event.

Here are some photos of a past race we did to entice you. This was a 30 minute GT3 race at Silverstone.

CCR has a Tuscan Supercup starting very soon and it is hoped to be a very close championship.

We have some race plans for 2015 that will be very good and the more people to take part the better it will be. We will even be doing a recreation of the World Endurance Championship. Races in the WEC will be at 10%, meaning they will be 60 minutes instead of 6 hours.

Other races are being added all the time.

Sound interesting, I may try out CCR tomorrow.

What is your PSN? I shall have to add you so you can access the rooms. If you enjoy the racing then feel free to sign up. We have a busy 2 months ahead of us and the more the merrier. :D

What you'll need for tomorrow.

Nissan GT-R R35 Touring Car.

Regulations

Power: 540 Bhp
Weight: 1,250 Kg
Tyres: Race Hard

Races are 10 minute timed races.

Friend Request sent from my second account. Lobby opens tomorrow at around 21:00 GMT, races start around 21:45.

We are currently testing some new room settings though but they will not affect the racing at all. These will be decided by the end of the week and it'll be back to normal.

See you there. 👍

Good photos IfAndOr. I'm glad you enjoyed your first race with CCR, hopefully more will follow and you'll be around a while. :D

If anyone reading through this wants to try us out then please ask for details and I will send you a personal message on how to join our Monday Night Casual races and what you'll need on that specific week.

Hi I'm Suts.

I'm fairly new to online racing (2 months) but have already had a great introduction thanks to @Sick Cylinder FFW championship, @IfAndOr and @SmileyWRX s DTM and cappuccino cup racing as well as racing minis with @FergusMik

I've found I am more likely to be free to race late weekday evenings so your timetable suits me fine.

I've just joined your forum and looking forward to racing tomorrow if you'll have me. 👍

My PSN name is the same as my GTP and CCR forum name: sutsagrd

Welcome. I hope you have found all information over on the CCR website. If not then I can post some things in a personal message on here.

If you need any information about what we're doing then please ask away. It would be preferred for you to message me over on CCR as I will see the messages sooner than ones on GT Planet and you'll get answers much faster. :D

You're more than welcome to join tomorrow, and if you have seen the events on CCR then you know what we are doing and when. I shall send you a friend request tomorrow afternoon.

Will you be setting up a club through the new community feature?

We have a Club set up on Gran Turismo now but our events are all arranged externally to GT Planet and Gran Turismo itself through our CCR Forums. If you are interested in trying us out you're welcome to join us on Monday for our next set of casual races. If so, I shall send you a friend request on PSN and information for what car you will need and the regs it'll be at. Just let me know what your PSN is. Afterwards if you want to sign up for the forum then we'll get you registered and into the Club as well so you can find our little community and join in the fun. :D

This coming Monday 24th it's the Nissan Silvia Touring Car night - It's not to late to sign up and have a go.

10 Minute Races

After a short Christmas break CCR is now coming into it's 1st anniversary and is striding to gain more regular racers in the 2015 year. We have a bunch of events lined up from mock-up Formula E races through to Blancpain Sprint Races (1 hour long) as well as some odd-ball events in between and some DIY races for those who like to create.

We currently have 8 regular players and would like to push for 14 - 16 regulars so we can start to push the driver class systems and performance adjustment we use to make the races as even and as fair as they can possibly be.

CCR recently brought in a 2 tier race system that allows the fastest drivers to race amongst themselves and to allow the casual, everyday player to race amongst players more suited to their speed so no need to worry about never being able to win because of super-fast drivers, we make it so there is a chance for everyone to compete in their respective group!

We race One-Make Casual Races on a Wednesday Night (21:00 GMT) so if you'd like to try us out before joining then we can arrange for that to be done with information on cars, regulations and obviously how to access the lobbies. This information will be sent through Personal Message.

Otherwise, if you're interested in CCR then please do not hesitate to register and have a look around our forum. Once registered you'll find all the information you'll need for our races and a friendly community that has a lot of banter and fun. :D

We are making available taster days on a Wednesday nights for any potential new members. Most Wednesday night races are One-Make only to allow for some very close racing and have had some very close races in the past (entire field within 2 seconds of each other).

Anyone who might be interested in trying us out on a Wednesday night (21:00 GMT) please post your interest and I shall post all details on how to join us for the next upcoming Wednesday and what you'll need to take part. :D
