A preview for my next update, "Shooting for realism"

One thing i've noticed whilst looking through the photomode threads is that when folks try to create 'realism' images, the one thing they rarely think of is whether their shots are taken from realistic positions. With Photo Travel images it obviously doesn't matter, but shots taken of cars racing, especially when it's a proper race rather than just one car lapping, should really be taken from where a photographer could realistically be stood. ie, the edges of the track, and probably at ground level.

Not saying this applies to your preview by the way

Very very very good point, I tried not to kill any photographers in the making of this update.

Thanks everyone, nice to hear because I put an absurd amount of time doing these. It may not look too fancy but it takes forever for me to get the colors how I want.

That SX4 shot is breathtaking! It's very minimal but it's all the better for it, who needs mad colours and HDR when you can use a yellow car matched with a 2 colour background of 2 colours? Absolutely awesome 👍

@Moggy: Alaska is good for those kinds of rally shots, there is very little going on in the environment, hardly any shadows, and even has a day/night cycle. Hidden gem

Expect an update later today, featuring 2 german standards, and a premium I just about never see in the galleries.

Magnificent! The standards are very good, I'm liking how realistic the BMW one is. Skyline shots are amazing as well, I love the second one. HDR TT is a great shot as well.

I like the McLaren and Audi pictures. The color of the MP4-26 could use an upgrade though.

I wish I would focus on the Audi more than the clouds in that last picture though.

Great job again. Love the Super GT and the Audi. The McLaren shot looks great with the way that the city came out.

Yep the last pic (the last two pics, actually) are HDR indeed. I cleaned up some of the blockiness and bad textures but I'm not too good at that kind of stuff

I really wish the DTM's were premiums, they are much more interesting cars than JGTC's (for me anyway...)
