Championship woes...

I know a few people have had problems connecting but I thought the general all round experience was ok, nice presentation before the start. Qualifying in a group was interesting. I managed to snatch 3rd place and immediately took 2nd with a nice overtake on the first corner... Then got punted off the track 3 times in the first lap leaving me 17th... managed to fight my way back up to 10th in the end. So I can report for those of you who haven’t got online, it’s a nice experience throughly ruined by the same idiots that put a dark stain on the rest of spirt mode... no idea how they get away with it and keep their sr so high... Anyone else got any thoughts on this?

My SR went from B toC in one race because of a bunch of idiots and a car span and came back on track leaving me nowhere to go. Got a 10 second penalty and rating dropped :/ so frustrating!

On the plus side waiting for my first FIA event as I type this... hope I have better luck with opponents than you have today.

Thats why the qualifying time is so crucial. Get a top3 time and you'll only have to try to pass 1 or 2 dumb drivers, instead of 15.

But then comes the problem when 10 other people are blocking you during group qualifying.

I think I got quite lucky to qualify 3rd to be honest... just trying the manufacture series now... let’s hope it goes slightly better... It’s so hard to level your at back up slowly after a race like that... so frustrating...

just qualified 2nd for my first FIA GT manufacturers series race. 4 laps in and disconnected ARRRRGGGHHH

Hmmm, much of the same for me, qualified 6th for this one, got punted in the rear at the hairpin, pushing me straight into the back of the guy in front, so not only did my sr go down and I lost a few places, the guy In front probably thinks I’m a right pebble...

Haha! I’ve never seen that before! Easiest race ever! Very odd though! Wonder if you’ll get to keep those points!!

it doesn't matter if at the first chicane or hard turn the usual suspect will careen through the field punting you in the grass... I had qualified 2nd for alsace today in one of the races and somebody ended up just plowing into people causing a chain reaction, 10 sec penalty, orange SR... at the end of the race the whole field had orange SRs

I've mentioned this a few times, its because of all the races with less than 24 players and the large gaps between players in DR and qualifying times per race. With less players on the track the dirty drivers can get away with a few nudges and punts per lap because they can make up for it with clean sectors once they've overtaken and are catching up to the next bunch of racers that are far ahead. If the races were closer due to players being more equal in driving skill, qualifying times and due to 24 drivers, these dirty drivers would have more opportunities to ram and use dirty tactics so they would take them as that's what they do. This would mean more incidents to lower their SR and less clean sectors to make up for it, eventually their SR would drop, the system would go back to the way it was when the game started with 24 player races and the trash would take itself out.

I honestly had the best races from SR C upwards when it was 24 player races, now the number of drivers on the track has dropped I'm getting rammed and nudged off the track way more and my Sr is S. I've even tried it myself, had a shocker of a race where I've exploited this fault by driving dirty just to prove my point and still able to increase my SR at the end of the race. That's why everyone is Sr A and S, the system is flawed and needs to be changed or its pointless, only the absolute cleanest drivers should be allowed an SR of A or S. Its not a high score for people to aim to achieve, its a system to put like minded and skilled drivers together and currently its not doing what it is supposed to do. Once PD go back to 24 player races and group people by closer DR and closer qualifying time, this issue will be fixed like it was in the beginning.

Had another shocking few races tonight, actually led the oval race from start to lap 24 with one dude in a Ferrari trying every dirty manouvre possible, slowing us both down until the following two drivers caught us up and both dove in on the first tight left hander. I held a wide line to avoid any chaos but the aftermath of their dive bomb attack spun me into the outside wall and I ended up facing backwards on the infield watching 13 more cars fly past with my head in my hands... not very often I can say hands down I was the fastest guy on the track but that was that... slowly but surely losing any remaining patience with this game... I’ve played gt since the first incarnation and had a great time with this at first... but I just can’t seem to catch a break at all recently.. taking all of the enjoyment out of it... sad times...
