Been working on this for a while now (about 7 months or so). The track layout itself was designed for me by JL-F1 on SlotForum. I had tried various designs myself but couldn't get it just right.
Takes up my entire loft, and is 27.5ft long by 13ft wide (at the widest point). All electrics are finally finished and, although I haven't uploaded another video just yet, I have a working Ferris Wheel in place (built by my Dad out of Meccano).

Let me know what you think:

How have you modelled the elevation changes? Some of Suzuka is pretty steep. I can't really see in the video.

Those risers might look a little flimsy (especially the taller ones), but they are rock solid.

That is very cool, and once you get some detail it will be even better... Nice singing voice in your other videos too. ;)

Very nice. Pics please, if you could, and ongoing progress reports. You may need to work on separate lighting solutions for photo/video shots. Ambient lighting for real-time racing is of course a matter of taste.

Great job. Hope to see similar projects from other members in here as well.

Cheers,
Harry.

Thanks ;)

Got any pics? YouTube doesn't work for me and I'd really like to see this.

I'll get a few pics together today and post them :)

Thanks.
There is a window on each end of the loft; these let in more than enough light during the day.
There is also 10 spot lights on the loft ceiling, plus the recently-added LED floodlights for that funky look.
Plenty of different lighting options
:)

That is amazing how long did it take to design and put together?

I bought this house a year ago. One of the provisos when house-hunting was that the house I bought had to have a loft conversion, or a loft that could be converted (as I had planned all along to build either a large Scalextric or Model Railway). I got the latter.
Planning the layout itself took a couple of months, with countless torn-up track plans plus a lot of head scratching.
But once I had the final plan (and as soon as the loft was converted), it all came together quite quickly.
Started the loft conversion last August or September, and have been noodling around with it since.

Just testing this first. Will add the rest of the pics if this one is successful.

This is how the loft looked to begin with:

Then ready for plastering (I'm skipping a few chapters):

Then it was complete (as far as joinery and electrics/plumbing is concerned):
