Can't beat the M5

And that has the same amount of HP and weightas the M3 GTR, right? Well if we don't keep the power band into account, I'd say that they are evenly matched.

I actually got into the 9.4 region after 255 Miles of Bob!

I'm not submitting mine because its too embarrassing...9.433

Your only .009 from Karo, hardly embarrassing 👍 I can't seem to get it under 9.440, I'll still post a pic if it doesn't get better, I'm happy if I'm under .020 of the best time, At Indy that .020 can easily be made up on a good tree :)

Gotta get away from this thing...too frustrating when I can't seem to make any more headway :(

What Hydro lessons? I don't remember...
Update:

It's better, but I need a proper suspension set-up as apparently its pull is not strong enough....

I am sure you will hit 9.43x on that.

Are you still working on this? Still no picture?

I found the retro launch much easier on this, but less of a benefit. I also used slightly lower than usual 5.0 rear toe... pretty standard everywhere else. Although, I noticed that half the aftermarket rims lowered the 0-60 by 0.001  No effect to the 1/4, just the 0-60 and this is the first time I have noticed different aftermarket rims have varying effects. :nervous:

I have never been able to execute a retro launch with any car that is capable of doing it. With 1 and 2 wide open there's always too much of a gap and it has massive gear lag, even with a short transmission.

This would be a great car to practice with as there is quite a large window for catching it. It's just about timing the double tap and you can wait to press the throttle quite late on with this one 👍

I only learned how to do it recently myself so I'm no expert, but once you get it the first time it makes it so much easier to replicate because you get a feel for it.

EDIT: I notice the actual expert is viewing the thread, maybe some tips? :D:tup:

I didn't take a picture... But there is no point. I won't take a picture until I beat Karo's time, which is never  I never lie about my times.

Well I guess we will have to take your word for that... just the way you do when somebody posts a time without a picture

If it is out of this world, then I will not believe it. Especially if it's someone who's relatively new.

To be brutally honest, I think you having a time 0.011 behind Nuke (on a FR) that’s to be considered as "embarrassing" for you is "out of this world".

I guess there is one way to shut me up ;) Posting a completed time without a picture after asking others to post pictures is just weak... and I'm not directing that just at you 👍

my launch method has progressed.

it is 1st gear launch and shift into 2nd at 4000~4500rpm rev.(it is about 500rpm lower than normal 2nd gear launch)

if you can't shift up to 2nd because it is often bogged, try new method.

new method is using 2nd gear launch and shift down to 1st a bit before at 4000~4500rpm then shift into 2nd at 4000~4500rpm.

if you were success, rev will a bit stop when you shifted down to 1st and then it will start rev up immediately when you sift up to 2nd.

this method is easier for me than previous method how to launch at lower rev;)

if you can't do this method too, I think your tranny is too wide. or if you can launch, you should find the fastest point. there are some launch points at 4000~5000rpm.
