....There's supposed to be a Cricket match between NZ and RSA today in Christchurch. Last time I checked, The State of Emergency covering Christchurch City and Selwyn district had been extended. Source.

One of the really sad stories is one poor bloke, as well as losing his house and all his possessions, also lost his collection of over 40 muscle cars. Monaros, HQs, Camaros... He only had time to save around nine of them, before the rest succumbed.

Right now the fires are literally the only thing on the news at the moment down here. It's so sad, most of the homes destroyed had just been repaired or were in the process of being repaired. Hopefully the council gets rebuilding quickly, but if it took them six years to rebuild after the quakes...
