Could be tricky, but I think I should be able to make some events. Unfortunately the next two weeks I'm too busy to play, but hopefully after that I should be able to join in.

I like low PP racing, I am interested. My caveat is I race with the A.R.S. group, we just concluded a series; our second season Indy lights series is in testing. I will be keeping 6PM PST open for that.

@AngryEater The real-life series uses 4-speeds on the 2CV, it's just a modified stock transmission. The default transmission is too slow for the increase in horsepower, and having a usable 5th gear will be a huge unfair advantage over a 4-speed within the same speed range.

Makes perfect sense, thank you for the explanation. In regard to your question, I'm going with physical manifestation of positive thought. That and there are other drivers whom fancy this pace of action; unfortunately I don't know if they're browsing these forums.

how does one tune the 5th gear so it is unusable?

Please provide the rationalization for the inoperable fifth gear regulation, Thank you.

Jolly hockey sticks, lovely use of English, gentlemen! (I'm not going to mention the capital letter following a comma, because I think you are trying, and that is what matters ;))

I'd like to make a couple of comments, if I may.

Sports soft!? Good grief, they are seriously grippy for this car, even maxed out.

Regarding getting it off the ground, rooms with decent numbers in attract more people; there's a sort of gravity thing going on. If you have people on your friends list who are agreeable to joining you for an hour or so on a couple of nights, you could race under these regs and see how many strangers come in for a spin. They might then be interested in something more formal and comprehensive at a future date. Some of them will, I'm sure.

Cheers, Zo.

@Zolon32
Well I have to say thanks for some motivation, but I changed those regulations because I thought it'd attract new members. But I guess I'll have to change 'em back..

I'll be delighted to take a look at this - being a bit new to GT6, and extremely new to online racing, I think the 2CV club would be a great place to develop my skills and experience of clean online racing... If you'll have me, that is!

ROOM IS UP AS OF NOW :)
I'll try and get in to the room in a little bit, although my internet connection is a bit shaky so don't count on me being able to stay for long.
EDIT: Also, is the increased body rigidity compulsary?

Well, I have my 2CV, duly modified in accordance with the regulations - 320pp, 5 speed box with 5th set to lowest ratio possible, body rigidity, sports hard tyres etc - so I'll keep an eye out later for when the room re-opens. I'm in the UK, so I imagine it'll be evening here when you're online?

Well, lucky for you, I'm on nearly all day on EST. Just expect me to get started at around 12:00 EST. Good racing!

EDIT: Just message me on PSN or GTplanet whenever you're online and ready to practice

Yeah, it helps on the corners and acceleration. Don't wanna get left behind, do ya?

Hopefully I'll get a chance later this evening so I'll PM you as and when I get online :-)

Ps I don't have a headset (yet) so voice comms are sadly off the agenda

Hey bud just got my 2 cv found out that the gearbox stock is a 4-speed just make the rules stock gearbox

Eh, but the stock gearbox is weak in most cases.
Besides, you can tune the 4 gears to any liking for any track you desire!

Also, I'm on currently!

We should race on the traditional track of brands or silverstone! Big final seen them race there!
6th race: ???[/QUOTE]
