Here's my first (of hopefully many) liveries, which i took heavy inspiration from the Mazda6 Touring Car.

I think something to consider is that when making a replica of a livery for a different car, you shouldn't force yourself to 100% replicate it - specifically, I think you should try "translating it" so that it conforms to the lines of the newer car you're making this livery for, rather than a strictly faithful remake of it. Compare the two Renown liveries for the Mazda LM55 VGT and the second post is an example of what I mean - I think it looks notably better for trying to work with the car and its lines, like a 3D coloring book.

Refresh my memory, but did this livery ever make it into the game?

Nope. Not sure if it ever was in a GT either.

Anyways here’s one of my latest:

Not exactly an in-game classic - but we did get this SLS AMG with Gran Turismo 5 Signature Edition, so I think it belongs here. I’ll also make the new AMG GT diecast car, when I receive my Collectors Edition later today!

Gave a shot at the XJ220 LM Race Car livery (on the F-Type GT3):

Still have to apply the Jaguar logo (why aren't manufacturer decals a thing?), fix the lettering on the sides and replace the Dunlop logo by the old one (SVG Editor, pls come fast). Overall satisfied by the result.

Came across this video with a old GT2 battle, between a Datsun 240Z and a Lancia Stratos. There's no Lancia anymore in GT Sport, but maybe the Alfa 4C will do the job versus a Nissan Skyline ? :dopey:

How do you get the decals to appear on the front/back bumper and the roof? I'm working on a Subaru Impreza rally look, but any decals I put on these parts of the body seems to be invisible.

The car is separated in multiple parts, you need to select the corret part on the left-side menu. Press R3 to see what part can be mapped in that category. (it'll show in blue)

Roof has it's own category and bumpers are usually on either 'body' or 'other' :)
