Classic Gran Turismo Livery Replicas (Read OP before posting!)

I have undertaken a overwhelming project I'm afraid, I am a bit worried that I won't have enough layers to complete it though. So far 127 on body and 48 on the bonnet. Going for the well known Alfa 155 look! (Sorry for the quality, mobile photos so far!)

Everything except the Michelin man is made manually. My entire evening has blown away! Looking forward to the end results though!

Same here. At first I wanted to do one side of the car, finish it, then duplicate on the other side. With that cursor always on top, it takes forever.
And in the colour palette, the "favourites" should 1) stay on top, and 2) be saved in the project. I have to do a back up note with the colours codes to be sure the colours are the same the next time I work on my livery.

Anyway, here is my Castrol Mugen NSX. One of the hardest part, apart from the Castrol texting, was to match the subtle "black to green" stripes on the sides.
And I'm sorry for Mugen, but Famistu is the only kanji in the game yet ! Same for other small stickers, I'd rather use a close existing brand than create a tiny logo from scratch.

Just realize by posting it that I missed the 3-couloured flag on the side. Will update the livery as soon as possible.

Thank you, means a lot! I have made some progress on the hood today, but I have to figure out a solution to the lack of layers issue! I will, roughly estimated need at least 20 more perhaps. I was going to redo the number 8 as well to get it correct, but I can't see how it could be done now really.

But I'm not giving in, I will find a solution

I can't speak for everyone and I'm not a pro in any way, but I just got started really. Have made four liveries or so, but then again: I have spent most of my gametime on it (I don't keep track of it, but it's become a good few hours now ). But hey, I'm getting value for the money I spent at least!

EDIT: I have now changed the font on the rear wing, took a good couple of hours and 62 layers to finish, thanks for the challenge @Cytoria, hope you're finally happy now. Don't you come complaining about any symmetry now!! New photo on the bottom of the post.

So, finally I have completed it, as much as I possibly can do right now at least with the available decals. I had a few bumps on the road, well one bump really, because of the layers cap which forced me to make a few things a bit simpler than I wanted to originally (Most noticeable are the serpents, the numbers, the Selenia logo and the missing text obove the rear fender) . Could do with a few more basic shapes and fonts! In total it added up to 539 layers, still a few to go on but most of those are on dedicated areas of the car that I haven't had any use for. And yes, I know there are Pirelli tyres on it Perhaps a bit of tweaking when we get some additions to the livery workshop!! Anyways, here it goes:

Thanks I know, it's far above anything else I've made so far but I have been dedicated to it! It's a very good thread 👍 I agree, I spend quite some time just looking in different angles making sure it doesn't look wrong. On some decals I even have to place two, because the first layer doesn't cover the entire curve for example. I have played around a bit and found a couple of neat tricks we can use in different situations though. I tried to upload it when I finished, but I got an error and I had to log off. These errors happens a lot for me, but I will upload it when I get back online and update my post with tags!

Out of curiousity, are you able to show what it would've looked like with a chrome/metallic base instead of matte, also I believe the logo on the hood is a bit off. Still though, looks great!

In addition to my NSX, I've made a WOODONE TOM's FT-1 GT3. This thing got me in second place in the Nurburgring GP event but because of a post racepenalty, I ended up getting FIRST PLACE. My first win too c:

(That R8 and I fought for first place for about 3 laps. Fantastic driver!)
