Further explanation of the theme, as described by Nato_777:

"(Puts on best Jeremy Clarkson voice) Now it's time to put a star in our reasonably priced car,
this week our celebrity guess is... you! Of course we don't have the Lacetti in GT5 so I've selected
an alternative (from the Premium lineup as it's a no edit week).
This week you will be driving the Toyota Vitz in all it's reasonably priced glory.

Now if you like I can run a leaderboard of lap times as well - for this you must use the car
completely stock - no tuning parts and Comfort Medium tyres. For authenticity your lap
should be from a standing start but I'll accept both standing start and rolling start times for
seperate leaderboards.

After a quick try last night my time (shoud be reasonably easy to beat) was a...
"One.... Forty... Two, point.... Zero Seven Two (1:42.072 Standing start) and a 1:38:853 (Rolling)
Set with the car straight from the dealer (no oil change) @ 105 bhp.

I will just have to rely on your honesty for times - just post them along with you entry and have fun. :)"

CAR: Toyota Vitz RS 1.5 '07
LOCATION: Top Gear Test Track

Nice choice of car Nathan, I've written one of these off so it should bring back some memories:D.

Also congrats on winning both the CCCL and SSC of week 99:tup:

Clever Nathan - I like the idea. Hopefully I'll get a pic in.... and like cphbullet said, congrats on the double win. 👍

Thank you cphbullet and Primus Ortus, I was suprised with the double (probably looks bad, being the host and all).
Great start Lee and good times. 👍
I've had another proper attempt at the times and couldn't improve on my Standing start but did better my Rolling start lap (which was pretty ugly the first time around) with a 1:37.183.

FINAL ENTRY

The Top Gear Test Track_5 by Sean_B793, on Flickr

I might not win the photo competition. But I sure as hell wanted me name on top of the leaderboards Lol.
Rolling Start time: 1:36.724

Standing Start time: 1:41.156

Then again the standing start timings aren't really that accurate due to standing starts for the track not being included in the game.

It is slightly inaccurate, it depends on how close to the start line you get before you make your standing start. You need to get as close as you can without tripping the lap timer. The farther back you start the more speed you will have gained before the timer starts and you'll gain a few 10ths at the line.

FINAL ENTRY
"And... across the line!"

Rolling start: 1:40.270 | Standing start: 1.43.366
Automatic transmission | Some wet spots around Hammerhead

Yup, exactly. Took me a million tries to figure out the closest I could get to the line.

I did a bit of trial and error awhile ago to find out when the starting point is:

Final Entry

Standing: 1'42.783
Rolling: 1'36.780
