The public vote was taken out in a landslide by Fido_le_muet last week. However, Moglet was
selected as the Judge's Choice.

Moglet chose the Graphics category for Week 05, and Fido_le_muet has given us the theme of a
Car Meet Poster!

Further explanation of theme, which is chosen by Week 05 Winner, Fido_le_muet:

The theme is Car Meeting Posters!
"I decided to merge fun with work for this one. I am actually organizing an automobile meeting
and I need to advertise it.
So what's best than ask the awesome photoshoppers here to do the meeting poster for me?
You can use any car you want, production or race car, japanese, US, EU or whatever you want. The only restriction I want to maintain is: 1989 max.
I'm counting on you guys so impress me!!"

So there you have it, a poster or flyer for a car club meetup featuring cars up to 1989. Have at it!

And remember...
Be creative and have fun!

[*]Public vote winners also get to select the top 12 entries for the poll the following week.
[*]When selecting the top 12 entries the following week, the theme chooser will also select a

[*]The Judge's Choice winner gets to choose whether the following week will be either a

[*]A graphics week will be primarily graphic design and layout based, for example magazine
    covers, or movie posters.

race cars in game, or making multi-car composites.
  • Winners cannot enter in their own theme!

Being a Photoshop competition, there are no limits on editing. Use every tool at your disposal to
create the desired effect. Feel free to utilise HDR techniques, photo stitching, whatever you like!
Your only real restriction is that you must use some part of a GT5 Photomode image!
The main thing to remember is to be creative and have fun!

****. I just spent 2 hours making a Ferrari only one cause i thought it was Just for a Car show, like an imaginary one.. ****.

I just got Photoshop, mainly to have more options for the 2.0 competition, but I wanted to learn the program and its options better, so I took this weeks theme from this poll and see what I could make of it while learning the options.

Although it's far from the level I've seen here in previous competitions, I hink the result isnt that bad, so I'm gonna enter anyway.

[FIRST ENTRY REVOKED, NEW ENTRY: SEE BELOW]

/edit: Hmm, now that I read the text a couple of times again I see your point aswell, Gtuned, but its a bit unclear to me. If the theme is to make an actual poster for his meeting, then I guess we should have some details like the name of the club, date, location, etc, right?

I believe Fido's intentions were to get you guys to make a few posters from which he might draw inspiration from to create his own (real) poster, not to actually create a poster that he'll go on to use for his car club!

@Gtuned - Post it up! I'd certainly like to see it, depending on which Ferrari's you've used then we may be able to bend the rules a bit and let it be eligible :)

It's exactly like Rev said. I know you won't do the actual poster for my meeting but I wanna see your creations to pick up some ideas for my own 👍

And I wanna see your pic GTuned ! I'm sure it's great !

Ah okay, then I said nothing :P

At first sight it looks like it can be imaginary, but after reading a couple of times, especially that last sentence, it could be that I was wrong as well. But luckily I wasnt.

I'm curious about the rest, pre 80's cars are great and there is a limited selection of cars that do match the criteria :D

Well here it is, It's not really good but, I tried. I just read the car show part and thought of a Ferrari only meet. But if it doesn't work, i'll see if i can make something else.

Nice work Gtuned 👍 It would be nice to have P4/5 in the poster, because it is one of main features of the show and it is allowed from the rules.

OK guys so Rev and I think it would be a good idea to ease up on the restrictions.
So now, you can use any car you want, production or race car, japanese, US, EU or whatever you want. The only restriction I want to maintain is : 1989 max.

So now I wanna see your pics !

And Gtuned, I knew it would be a good entry ;)

I've adjusted the first post to reflect the updated theme. I'd say your entry is eligible, Gtuned :)
Isn't that an Enzo at the bottom though, what with the '89 max rule???

EDIT: Not to rag on the sheer quality of the pic as a whole though.

Ugh, I loved this theme until the max 1989 rule. Oh well, I guess I'll wait 'til next week :(

Isn't that an Enzo at the bottom though, what with the '89 max rule???

Does this mean we can create a poster so long as (at least) one of the cars is from 1989 or earlier?

...
Damnit. I just noticed a huge typo in my poster, but i don't have the .pdn saved...
It's supposed to be
Featuring the only Ferrari 330 P4
In the United states

I would like to revoke my previous entry and enter a new one, for two reasons: I took a look at the internet after my first entry, because I didnt had an idea of what a meetup poster would look like and what information it should provide. The second reason is that I learned a little more about PS in those couple of days and I like this one better:

Sorry for German, but I felt like this one had to be in German and where else to meet then in Wolfsburg :D

/edit: Lol, just felt like picking a date in may, not knowing the date Aidan8500 put on his flyer, seems like it's gonna be a big week of carmeetings then :P. 16th of may is on a monday though. I even checked the website of VFL Wolfsburg if they really had an away match that weekend I picked :P

dam i was looking at the 2010 date, silly me

Hehe, well, it was because I put almost the same date on my flyer, else I wouldn't have noticed it. And I don't think anyone will mind a date being wrong.

I try to be fairly lenient on restrictions to encourage creativity and all that, and as *most* of the cars in that entry are pre-1989, I'm happy to let it slide.

Does this mean we can create a poster so long as (at least) one of the cars is from 1989 or earlier?

I suppose I have to draw a line in the sand: I won't mind (and hopefully fido won't mind either!) if you have a post 1989 car in there, so long as the majority of cars and the main car are from 1989 or earlier. I hope that's alright with everyone :P

I was wondering what's going on with recent Ferrari model names! Cities are just not enough:

360 Modena => 458 Italia
California => The United States

:) ;)

Get your entries in folks! I'm going to try and knock one together myself if I get time on Sunday. :)

Not as many entries as I would have thought for this round considering its a graphic round.

I'll have mine up in a few hours, just in the middle of it.

Ok here we go. As always took longer than I was hoping for.

Final Entry

OMG, I have no idea how I did that and missed it. Thanks Nato. Now Fixed.
