Okay, so I've just gone through this poll and voted. If I've read the description correctly, it's all about taking a realistic photo of a luxury car. But going through these pictures, I can count on one hand of how many of them fit the bill, yet the voting is not going it that direction, weird.....?

I think people need to slow down and read the the brief before voting...? Or in this case, is it the judges fault...?

Just my two cents, and for the record I'm actually a graphic designer and professional photographer!

Anywho keep up the good work:tup:

I don't think it was ever a requirement for the images to be realistic, it just so happens that some have come out that way. It was only brought up because it was suggested that the Gallardo shot was realistic.

look , usually i do exactly that what is in the description and 70% i don´t make it into the polls , but this time i did the opposit way and taadaaaaaaaa 5 votes so faar , by the way judging is not easy especially not for the first time .

if you have time have a look into the last 10 competition and see what i mean .

and stop complaining tbh , you guys usually win evey competition , tz

I don't think anyone is complaining, your photo is fantastic! I was simply disagreeing with the realism comment and giving my honest opinion. I'm not a fan of realism myself, I think it can limit some photos. I'm actually glad that your photo doesn't look realistic to me, much better to go with what feels right than be limited to realism 👍

I never said you were wrong, I said "I don't think it was a requirement". No need to get so jumpy about it, I wasn't having a go! 👍

I completely missed that bit of text  God knows how I got in to the poll then!

I think it is underexposed and it would probably have benefited from a lower F-number to give a better depth of focus. And it feels like it hasn't been edited especially much. (Correction please)
I can't possibly demand that a picture is edited, but it's very hard enough to reach what I feel is the quality in the poll IMO without taking full use of what the rules allow.

Good thing then:)👍

Wonder if there has been any use of HDR in any of these photos........

I doubt it, the hosts are normally pretty good at spotting HDR images, it's happened before and it was disqualified before the poll even went up. Even if they don't catch it I'm sure another member will. A lot of people don't know how to take and render HDR images either, so I wouldn't worry too much about it :)

Out of interest, do you work for a design agency or freelance?

Any feelings?

I like it but if it didnt make it im guessing its because maybe the chrome color makes it look a little to "unrealistic" maybe? Also maybe because of a boring angle? But overall i like it :)

Thoughts about mine?????

All freelance at the moment, do a few bits and pieces here and there for some UK based games magazines! Same goes for my photography too:)

So many awesome shots here, but the Murcielago takes the vote. The composition and camera angle is very unique there.

Can i have my reason why this shoots didn't make it?

It's not that i want to whine but as a pro, i need to know the reason. :)

WOW this is great! But I ended up voting for the parked Merc, It screamed Luxury.

TOO MANY LFA'S...... :odd: I wonder if the next winner would ban the use of LFA for one week ;)

Anyways...I liebe the SP1

Criticism? Too many LFAs?

Missed all polls this weeks, continuing the trend. :P

Honestly, I like your shot. You can read my comment @ flickr if you want to know my opinion.

Guys, all your shots are great! I really like the LFAs. :)

i fell weird that im in 5th palce with only 9 votes.... usually you need like 15 or 20 for that. votes are really spread out in this one. thanks for those that voted for mine!!!:sly:👍

ZEROX, too dark... needs a little more to light and shadow

Oh, thanks, that's what i thought too! :P
I guess my laptop monitor show really different result than LED pc monitor. :(

I think i've taken what i think is a great pic while its on a 42 inch lcd. Get it on the pc to upload it & it looks ****e. Happens all to often for my liking

Well, lesson learn. Looks like we need to take some precaution before we send our entry. :ill:

Gee, thanks though my entry didn't get to the poll. :P

I dont get as far as sending them. They usually get binned straight away & the air gets tuned blue lol.

So do i use the lcd as a computer monitor or plug the computer monitor into the ps3? Somethings gotta change. Also what we see on our own screens might look good to us but someone else with a different screen looking at your pic could see things completely different :indiff:

Very true nismo33, the best thing I find to view pictures on after I've taken them and edited is my iPad, as the only thing that can be adjusted on them is the brightness, sounds weird but it helps...:)
