This poll goes to show you standards can look amazing if photographed correctly! So many great shots, I was stuck on about 5-6 different ones and couldn't decide.

Almost missed this poll, I was looking for it on top.

Number of posts have nothing to do with entries getting into poll. All entries within competition rules, of having a FINAL ENTRY tag, limit preview size of 500px either way and following the theme are considered. Only the best 50, in the eyes of the week judge may go into poll.

Has said in this thread: "Don’t be upset if you didn’t got into poll. People's tastes are subjective, so the Judge's decisions will stick. Don't be discouraged!"

Pretty sure the last thing the judge looks at is post count.

I advise you don't. Spam will only get you into trouble with the mods.

Keep trying, keep playing around with photomode, keep discovering new angles, new light spots, different settings. I've been, for many times, back in the GT4 photomode competitions, left from poll, while already hosting that said competition and still, I can get out of poll anytime and I really don't have any problem with it. It's a sign I have to get better, that I have to be even more creative. For the next weeks, poll size will be lower than the present 50 best, so that the quality in entries would be risen even more.

So, has I said, post count has nothing to do with how good a image looks. Also, before you'd jump to the votes, I want to remind you, that week 1 GT5 2.0 Advanced Competition winner, TOUGEFC, is/was a new member as well.

Looking at your picture, if you simply used panning mode 3 and a little less brightness, you could probably get into poll easily. The car is too blurry and there is no good focal point.

A member from the GT4 days, alexwrc barely posted anywhere but photo competitions, and he usually wiped the floor with us! We look at the picture, not the person behind it .

I would have picked the black and white VW shot. I like the look and the story it seems to tell. But then the "Go Speed Racer" shot with the moonlight look, and the lighting looking as if its the air coming off the car, pure genius!

I want to remind you, that week 1 GT5 2.0 Advanced Competition winner, TOUGEFC, is/was a new member as well.

Yup, and he beat me with my several thousand posts and Premium membership. It's not about the member, it's about the photography and that's the way it should be.

It's interesting to see all of the new blood entering the photomode community, it seems very few of the 'original' GT4 photographers are left!

👍 That's exactly it, and at the end of the day the deciding factor are the members of the forum that choose which one was their favorite. The same idea applies to real life, in the sense that it's not about the camera, it's about the eye of the beholder, of course the camera can do so much. But enough about that. I am surprised you guys liked it, I was ready to change it last minute.
Thanks a lot for the votes guys. A lot of other pictures have a lot of inspiration, I chose the Countach shot, I have a thing for that long winding road.

speaking of alexwrc... where is he anyway? I just checked his profile and his last login was back in 2009! Oh, and I'm sure there are several other guys from the GT4 days that is missing as well.

Voted for the furai because it's the only one who seems to pop out of the canvas thanks to all the white being so white it is the same as the white of the browser.
