I didn't know I voted for myself! I was telling my girlfriend how this is the first time I've ever been in first place for a photo competition and she asked to see the computer to see my picture. She said she liked it. She must have voted for it not realizing the rules and that I was logged in! D:

Can't one vote just be removed from his entry in the poll and let it continue? (maybe a girlfriend ban too 🤬)
Clearly to me (and a majority of forum members) he has the winning black image that should continue to the head to head!
Before I read these posts I was about to cast my vote for McZF138 too, a concession that my current second place pic truly cannot contend.
Not sure now what to do, strongly contemplateing voting for my own entry as another DQ might illustrate my position.
Watching closely where this goes.

Yeah, but then would that have been the same with all people who did that in the past. I'm not supporting that he should be removed, but it says pretty clearly in the rules what you mustn't do. And that's my opinion for the general majority of the entering users, and in Zach's case can't I blame him, though he happened to do it in the CCCL poll. It's a presumably a mistake by his girlfriend, but the rules are rules...

Whatever you guy(s) decide on will be fine with me.
While obviously I do not want to be disqualified, rules are rules and should be followed under all circumstances. I don't expect an exception for the accident that took place.
But if I could add something, maybe adding the "Do not vote for yourself." rule to every Photomode competition thread instead of having it in a seperate thread would do many people justice in the future.

Well that's the thing... if everyone votes for themselves, each of their votes are essencially worthless.
But if it's mandetory that a Poll Partciipant votes for a competitor, then 2 competitors could potentially vote for the same entry, thus giving value to the vote, rather than just wasting it on yourself.
I see the logic, it just goes against our natural human competitive instinct to win.
"If I want to Win.. I will vote for myself."
Do you think Obama voted for the other guy? lol.

Lol.. absolutely, but I was speaking in context to how people generally perceive a voting system when they are a candidate. Not specifically about the PMCs.
Human Nature dictates that if one is a competitor in a voting system, that that person WILL vote for themselves and not for his opponents.
All I'm saying is that it's nmot surprising that even though the rules states that you shouldn't vote for yourself, that people overide the rule with thei own instinct, especially when they participate in the contest for the first time.
Such was my case.
But now that I was made aware.. I can assure you that it won't happen again.. unless my Girlfriend logs into GTplanet under my account and votes, lol.

They both felt a bit too boring...or "standard" for me.
There wasn't something that made me say, wow!
Also, both feel a bit unsharp. Sorry guys, but compared to the other pics up there, they're not on the same level. IMO!
Also, there were so many Entries that didn't followed the rules. I'm not sure, but it also could've been that I didn't picked an Entry because of that.
Yours (Rocko) for example don't provide a full size version. And without that, it's hard to judge the pic.

Ok
For me, it was a bit too bright. There is nearly no black in your shot, pretty much only gray and white.
If you would've darken it a bit more, it may would've made it. Because, the angle, details and background looked really great. It also would've made the sky a bit nicer....I think.
But I liked your Entry, really!
