@Captain Roh, FishyJuice & GatorAdam

Thanks alot!

CR your photo definitely has better composition, but maybe it has a bit too much grey, I don't know. Can't think of anything else why it didn't win:confused:

Fishy thanks for the vote, I had been messing around with filters too much lately so I didn't want to go with any, not even B&W:)

I dont normally complain but I thought my photo was a winner for sure this week. Gutted. Would of gone great up against jk's zonda too :(

May I just be a bit rude?

[rant] I do not really find your shot to be anything that special. It's pretty nicely done in every technical aspect, but I find it boring. The angle, the "speed", the use of B&W. I had an idea that I would give my vote to the best non-filter image. I don't get why unit Delta considers his composition to be inferior to yours.

But then again, I'm the one that prefers Gtuned's very unique shot, while a bit pixelated to dhartley's overexposed Citroën. Had Gtuned's shot been showing that part of the MP4, the front/side view would the car in his pic probably have blended into the tarmac as well. [/rant]

Just my opinion, but seeing my entry do I probably not have a worthy opinion. :lol:

Oh dear, only two votes, not that I was really expecting more.. :boggled: Anyway, thanks to Nato_777 and TheDrummingKING for sparing me the embarrassment of getting no votes :lol:

I think you and I have spoken about this before, with regard to the judges brief I mean...

I try very hard to bring the weekly description to life in my photos. And this week I had an idea that I was able to perfectly put into in a picture. So maybe it was the idea that was not so good, because I thought the photo was one of the best I've ever taken.

In any case, I think you were a little harsh to disregard any filtered photos. For me, taking a black car to a night course, or a white car onto snow was way more obvious and much easier to capture. Maybe my photo came out more grey than brilliant white but I was very careful not to lose any detail. And overall I think I acheived what mitch wanted. Actually I know I did, I made it to the poll :)

Though it is funny. Because whenever I try to make technically good photos, people vote for the stylized shots. Then whenever I try a stylized shot, people vote for technical!! :lol: Its hard to know week in week out why people vote for a particular style.

In the end I cant take anything away from Delta. As i said I thought it was a good photo. But naturally I thought mine was better :D This time ;)

Just out of curiosity how did you feel about Beccoshinos photo there Fishy?

Oops, again very dumb wording. No, I was just looking for shots with no filter. Had yours been the by far best shot in my opinion, would I have gone for it. And about the stylized - technical thought, I fully agree. You have a shot that would've won that week, but not the other.
But when it comes around, you can't predict that.

And my opinion of Becchosinho's shot is:

Better than mine (both artistically and technically), in my opinion technically better than than yours. I don't really know how it follows the theme compared to yours. But I find it more interesting than yours due to the composition, lighting and DoF. I think that is what your picture is lacking, a more blurred background. All of this is IMO of course.
