Am i allowed to be really happy that no one else got into the polls with my pics mix of track, car or poorly chosen paint colour? I voted for a shot with a very 'different' approach to subjective photography... yet emphasised the idea behind the theme... all the pictures on the poll are very individual and i feel sorry in advance for all of us who wont receive a single vote, everyone who gets this far has taken a picture that i would love to frame for my living room, and this goes for soo many that didnt make it!!!

Looks to be using the Miniature effect. That effect seems to change the colors also. Then up the exposure maybe? Just my guess. Dunno...

I've had the same question in the day it was posted and asked for the original (that appears has damaged in Photoshop) since it looked aweful simillar to the selective coloring effect set to black, but after verifying, it is all good. The effect was obtained using the cross processing filter in GT5 and a cranked up eV, from what the entrant told me. 👍

Again, I recommend that if anyone has any question regarding edited entries in the current open competition (where action is easier to make), please, send me a P.M.. It's easier, no one will know (besides me) and it actually helps me allot with sometimes overlooked entries.

Where do you find such heavy selective vignetting in photomode? There are several shots where the vignetting is off centre and selective on the car.. how is that possible? Unless it's cropped that way and one of the filters do that.

It's 100% GT5 Moglet, you should try it yourself, Chamonix with weather, Cross processing filter and EV locked at 2.5

Hey DM, why me shot no makey the poll?

My method (as it has always been since GT4's PMC) was to download all photos to a folder on my desktop and then go through them over and over again, deleting the ones I felt - for some reason or another - should be out compared to the rest I'd just cycled through.
I did this endless times, and it reaches a point were you have about 60 shots that you really like and you still have to delete 1/3 of them. That's 1 in every 3 shots you already like... It's not easy.

I'm saying alll this just for people to understand that it reaches a point were many good shots stay out for almost no particular reason.

But I do remember your shot was one of those that stayed in my folder 'till the very last moment - until I was down to about 45 shots or less. And I actually remember the excuse I gave myself (you have to make up something to feel better with yourself) for deleting it was that it was maybe a little too "static" and "tight".
Maybe zooming out or tilting the camera, or off-centering the car a bit would give it a more dynamic feeling, I'm not sure about that.


Anyway, I grab the opportunity to congratulate everyone who entered the competition. The quality was very high. 👍

You go above and beyond to judge the entries DM, good to hear you put a lot of thought into. I understand where your coming from, it can be really hard not including certain images. Especially when you have to cut so many.
