Well to be honest, the differences are really minimal! But when I compare the two pictures directly, the Lexus has a warm lighting and a more real life feeling to it. Your Mazda fits the theme but just didn't made it. It is just a matter of personal taste.
Don't worry mate, it is a good photo after all

That mustang shot is one of the best unedited shots I've seen to come out of GT5. I'm surprised it's not running (or drifting

I won't win compared to the other pics in the poll, I still can't get to grips with the photomode. Some very good shots difficult to pick one to vote

I'm curious to receive feedback on mine too, I had a feeling it wouldn't make it but I really struggle to get good drift shots so any help would be appreciated!

Your entry for this week was just not Moglet enough. Don't get me wrong, as soon as you enter a competition the bar gets raised, expectation where high, but somehow I was a bit disappointed when I saw your entry.
Well, to start making good drifts you will need a few ingredients:
- RWD car (Japanese cars preferably) with ~200 to 250 Bhp (to get started)
- Comfort Hard tyres
- A track with quick and small curves, Tsukuba, Autumn Ring Mini (reverse is better/easier) or Suzuka West (the little one).
- Practice, practice, practice & a little more practice...
That's how I did it, give it a try and don't hesitate to take a step back with your camera. Now go beserk !!

I meant drift photos, I'm fine with the setup side of things! The car I took a photo of can drift for miles 👍 I think I just need to step back a bit, Ikeep going too close to the cars which isn't good for drift shots.

Doesnt every entry make it to the poll? My pic was CLEARLY in the guidelines...unlike most people, oh well.
That was a cool pic Welsh...I guess it didn't show much of the drift, that's probably why it didn't go to the poll...I guess the people putting the poll up want the cars they want. That's what I think anyways
So pretty much, is this how it works? The judge ONLY pics the cars he likes and WE vote poll for the best?

The judge of last week pics his 30 favourite pics, yes. It may or may not be decided on the cars present in the image (it could be part of the selection process, but hopefully not the only criteria), but basically, it's the judge's personal preferences. From there, yes, it's a public vote. Picking the poll (and the theme accompanying it) is the "prize" for each week, so to speak... and, a bonus car too, once PSN's back up and running.

As SlipZtrEm said, the judge picks the shots after how he likes them. I even asked dennis what he was looking for, and he very kindly gave me a lot of answers. Hope you understood from SlipZ's post how the rules are, but I on my hand fully respect his choice.

Well I tip my hat to you Jedi, you appear to have this one wrapped up..... as good as all the shots are on this poll in the end most are quite generic 'drift' shots ( mine included ) and yours just has that slightly different take on a theme and for that its well deserved 👍
