If it makes you feel any better, neither of those B&W pics would have made it. To be fair it can be hard to shoot original shots in that tunnel and although you tried, it's a tad uninteresting. As I had to really nitpick towards the end, I also noticed the helmet looks weird. It sounds innocuous, but this is what I was reduced to, towards the end.

How come i did not make it

The background for that beautiful car looks very mundane to me. Yes, there is a straight, but all the picture does is qualify as a straight line photo. To give it that little edge, maybe you should have experimented more with angles/filters/lighting.

It's still a straight. xD And there is also a tunnel pic in the poll. Wonder why I didn't make it.

Same problem as MBS. To come up with creative shots in that tunnel takes hard work. And same as in ZEROX's photo, it's well done with no discernible faults but it lacks a certain oomph.

I keep saying it lacks a certain edge because you needed that against the competition this week.

Look at the poll and notice that more than 3 entries are fighting for first place. That's how tough the competition has been this week. I don't remember such a close competition between 3 or 4 entries in the polls in the last month since I've been active here.

I agree, ... a side on shot does'nt determine 100% that a car is on a straight or curve. Yes its on the straight most likely though its not the most obvious thing about the shot but it is an excellent pic.

This is stupid, WHY Does the veyron on the top gear track have the most votes? It's just unbelievable, the last picture on the Nurburgring is the one i voted for. I'm sorry i don't usually criticise photos on here, but i honestly don't see why it has the most votes

There's a difference between criticizing, and outright whinging. I'll remind everyone that one of those is frowned upon. Remember, art is subjective.

I'm not much of a fan of the Veyron, but that image is best to me, too (seems I missed the vote). The bottom two are also both great, as is the black and white R8 (probably would've been my favourite if the road lines somehow hit more of the corners), and the black and white Camaro (had it been a bit further into the background). Top shots, guys, final poll incoming!
