Then again, the BMW is a BMW designed McLaren and uses the McLaren name while the SLR is a McLaren designed Merc that uses the McLaren name. So effctively, neither is actual a McLaren and in my opinion, whichever category one is in the other should go in. So I think because of the clarity issues, I think both should be legal but again that is just me.

BMW provided the engine for the F1 and a lot of financial backing when McLaren wanted to field cars in the BPR series in the mid-90's, but the GTR is still a McLaren vehicle; it will have a unique, England-based VIN, for example. The racer's inclusion in GT4 as a BMW was a sly work-around by PD to get at least some form of the F1 in the game. The McMerc, despite having McLaren in the name, still has a Mercedes-based VIN. It was built at McLaren's Woking facility, and uses a fair amount of their expertise, but that's as far as the connection goes.

However, for the purposes of this week's theme, I'll ask Dark to clarify! Remember, you've all got about 14 hours to get your entries in!

Sorry for the confusion, the only "Maccas" allowed this week are the McLaren MP4-12C, McLaren F1 (standard and stealth) and the McLaren F1 GTR
